My favorite part is when somebody asks if the vol staff stopped pursuing a player because a player reports more interest in another school - as if there's no possibility for your staff to be beaten to a recruit if they *really* want him.

I see what you're saying, there are definately some blind homers. (myself included, sometimes)

But, a few weeks ago Mathis said we had started recruiting him harder by sending him a few letters.

The guys on the top of our board recieve a letter just about every day. So I don't think we really were going after him that hard.
