By A Trieu. Says that he is 90-95% sure he will commit to the Hurricanes on Sept. 1st. Miami has told him that he will play as a freshman, and that they want him to give an early verbal. He is also interested in Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Florida, and Tennessee.

If he's listed as 5'8, he's probably closer to 5'6. That seems really detrimental. But if he can play, he can play.

Ironically enough I Just asked a kid who plays at Detroit Renaissance about him today. His eyes lit up and said he was amazing and ran a 4.3. Comes from the same school as Ill Will Campbell.

"Right now my top 4 is Oregon, Michigan State, Michgan, and Miami in that order. Oregon is my number one school right now," said Mathis. Mathis currently holds a verbal offer from Oregon to play as a cornerback. "I have a verbal offer, they want me to play corner. I love Oregon, I can't wait to get out there and check it out in person. I have seen footage of the stadium, facilities, but I can't wait to see it in person."

lol if Oregon thinks they're getting Stephenson and I doubt they get Mathis.

“I like Oregon a lot. They are number one on my list right now. They went to number one the day I got the scholarship offer. Like I said Coach Neal and Frost have come to my school a few times and my track meets and that just means a lot to me. Oregon is for sure a school I think I could spend the next four or five years of my life at,” said Stephenson.

What is so "lol" about Oregon thinking they have a good chance at signing Stephenson, when he has said this?

If Tennessee doesn't have a chance it's because they play in the same conference as the past 3 national champions. I'd say Oregon has the luxury of playing in Pac dominated by 1... but, it's not a luxury when they aren't the one that dominates. Sucks for them.

SEC 5 National Championships... rest of the country, 6. That's what a real conference looks like. ;)

Because everybody always has Oregon on there list, and a lot of kids call Oregon there favorite, but in the end, Oregon almost never signs any big time kids in the east or Texas for that matter and didn't even finish in the top 30 in the team recruiting rankings per rivals.

In the last in last 4 years (including '10) Oregon has signed (or has committed) a whopping total of 4 recruits from either Texas or the East and South areas of the country.

I suggest that you do a recount:

Grant - Florida (4*)
Jackson - Alabama
Lane - Georgia
Cantu - Texas
Embry - Georgia
Blount - Mississippi (4*)
James - Texas (4*)
Taylor - Texas
Thomas - Texas (4*)

Which leaves us with the question, where do you get your information from?

The only thing I like about Oregon is having a selection of uniforms. Seems that helps them in some recruiting. I think they would be much worse if they did not have uniforms that attract these young kids.

Because of the Nike money, Oregon has excellent facilities.

I know the uniforms attract all of those fashion design majors, but I really think it's the facilities that put the ducks up so high on so many lists.
