10 men on field

I know of twice in the Florida game!!! Once during an extra point, and another sometime afterwards.

Dooley confirmed there were three times the Vols played with 10 men on the field, per Wes Rucker.

This coaching staff is a joke. How do you do that 3 times?

Yea, that is coaching and that is inexcusable...someone better get their a%% handed to them over that....once happens but usually is a time out...3 times is pathetic! :hi:

I don't want anyone to accuse me of being negative about this program but for this to happen three times is inexcusable. If it happens once fine, coach calls a timeout and gets waist deep in someone's rear so it doesn't happen again. I still hope that Dooley is the answer but there is no reason to make excuses for mental lapses like this. I thought the game against UF was a pretty good game for the staff but this was probably one of the least disciplined teams I've ever seen at UT.

are in the game? Why would the coaches who are paid to make sure the players know their assignments be blamed. I mean 18 year olds coached by supposed experienced coaches making a few hundred thousand a year or one making millions. Blame it on the kids but these clown coaches are the worst in Tennessee history, say goodbye to our football program until we get them cleaned out. Book this 4-8.

4-8, way to go out on a limb junior. You would never be able to get a play ran within the play clock if you had to go to each player like he is Helen Keller and tell him that this is his package...ridiculous.

is a play "run" to you. Grammar can be a tough thing bud.

It can also be tough arguing very weak points. Probably why you have resorted to classic grammar-nazi type rebuttals. No surprise here.

You are not a true fan if you question the coaching staff. Also, that isn't Dooley's fault.

jesus we have some retarded fans...

who's responsability is it to make sure they are doing the right thing?

whos responsability is it to teach them where they need to go?

this love for dooley is insane...he is a nice guy and maybe a good coach...but he needs to either get chaney moving with some more inventive offense and hire someone who can or his ass is going back to being sabans errand boy again...

3 plays with 10 players and we shouldn't question the ability of our coaches? This crew has not shown anything to make us "believe" but how dare you question how good or bad they are. These comments are way more insane than any ranting about how bad they are.

Players have to be smart enough to know what packages they are in, that is basic football.

When your practice time is taken up teaching your players how to properly bathe to avoid staph infections...that tells you that you arent dealing with rocket surgeons.

I would rather have 11 dirty players on the field than 10 clean ones.

Also, I will guarantee you that the intelligence level of our team isn't any lower than, say, that of a good team.

Lets see....the coaches are young, not much experience, and will get better as the season goes on. So cheer for them, and support them...be the fan.

That is actually kinda funny.

Since it has been confirmed we were down 1 D-lineman I suppose it's safe to say first year Chuck Smith has no clue what he is doing and we should just get rid of him now.

On a side note - I believe Terry Joseph is the man in the press box as the "eyes" of the defensive coaching staff. If there is anyone to blame, I'm laying it on him. Overall, of the coaches, he has been hands down the least impressive to me.

Usually there is one coach in charge of making sure the correct personnel are on the field. Not likely Dooley's job.

3 times is excusable.....I understand maybe once, hey everyone makes mistakes, but three times?!?! That's just bad coaching

Just judging from what we've been allowed to see... I would hate to be the coach who was responsible. Dooley will like rip him.

maybe the player who is supposed to be subbing out should get his head out of his @ss and pay attention. It is something that high school kids can handle, when the guy above you on the depth chart goes down.....you go in....quite simple, really

At least it wasn't 12 and 3 delay of game, 5 yard penalties.... :good!:
