Dooley confirmed there were three times the Vols played with 10 men on the field, per Wes Rucker.

This coaching staff is a joke. How do you do that 3 times?

Yeah. I'm pissed CDD didn't go and tap each player on the helmet to let them know they are in on any given package.

Clearly this team, this coaching staff, and most of us as fans were looking WAAAY past UAB, and it almost cost us...

Correct a W is a W...just ask the 07 team that needed 4OTs to beat KY!!!

If we can get it done with 10 on the field than having 11 on the field from now on should have even better results.

It is over and we did get the W BUT, our last 2 plays on defense, in Overtime, was played with 10 on the field. We got lucky. They had every chance to punch it in and would have if it weren't for Teague. He is a monster!

How you miss something like that in OT, I'll never know

Lets see....the coaches are young, not much experience, and will get better as the season goes on. So cheer for them, and support them...be the fan.

I'm sure there are at least a dozen other Dooley sucks threads you could have posted this in.

Is there a way to merge them all into 1 thread Mods?

They have had too much to work on specifically in spring and fall practices, maybe a few things slipped through, hes not working with exactly the smartest group...

Have you played the game? When it comes to things like this, the KIDS need to know when they're to be on the freaking field. While the staff might have been responsible for counting the players on the field at the moment, it's really the responsibility of the players to be ready and on the field when it's time. Do you expect the staff to hold their freaking hands on every play? When is it proper to expect the kids to be responsible for something? Sheese.

It's completely obvious that anyone who is blaming Dooley for this didn't play competitive football past the elementary level.

Players have to be smart enough to know what packages they are in, that is basic football.

When your practice time is taken up teaching your players how to properly bathe to avoid staph infections...that tells you that you arent dealing with rocket surgeons.

are in the game? Why would the coaches who are paid to make sure the players know their assignments be blamed. I mean 18 year olds coached by supposed experienced coaches making a few hundred thousand a year or one making millions. Blame it on the kids but these clown coaches are the worst in Tennessee history, say goodbye to our football program until we get them cleaned out. Book this 4-8.
