Stargate is a show for geeks. It is the replacement of Star Trek. The original show had something like 10 seasons then a spin off Stargate Atlantis had 4 and now a new one this fall. Since Battlestar Gallactica is done I would guess it is going to do well.

I could care less if he is 'cool to listen to' or not. And, I really couldn't care less what you think of what I listen to. Anyone that actually KNOWS anything about music (as opposed to pretending to) knows his music is outstandingly written. Both lyrically and musically. It may not be your cup of tea, but to pretend the man isn't talented is absurd. Let me guess. You also think Justin Timberlake is a no talent ass clown?

Agree was my favorite when it came out but has since become stale.


Sab- I am presently making it through 24 through DVD had never seen. I give it thumbs up.

No...it's a modern adaptation of the Biblical account of King David's life. Not real original, and it can only go so far before it runs out of gas

well rob thomas is probley better lyricaly than musically, his guitar stuff is pretty simple really, or atleast the old matchbox 20 stuff, i havent listend to alot of his newer stuff.

The early Matchbox stuff was very simple, but he has grown as a musician and it is very apparent. The later Matchbox stuff was much more complex, not to mention his two solo albums (the first of which I did not like) have both had outstanding songwriting.

No, I love Justin Timberlake. He's one of the most talented guys out there. I used to think a lot of Rob Thomas too back when he wrote cool music.

I have no issue with you not liking what he is currently putting out. Musical taste is a subjective thing. But talent/music writing ability is not. He clearly has both of those things in spades.

alot like darrius rucker, but i dont care for his or thomas later stuff, i like to listen to the older, but as far as playing i was always much more into STP/ AIC type stuff much more complex.

I haven't even given the album a listen TBH, I was just ribbing you. You should know that. I agree that the man is a good songwriter.

So is Stephen Jenkins and I am anticipating TEB's new effort.

I have heard bits and pieces of Darius Rucker's latest album. It's pretty decent from what I have heard. But I'd have to give it a good listen to really make a judgment.

Good analogy. I like Hootie. I like country just fine, but just don't care for Darrius Rucker.

What do you think of the new Alice in Chains since you mentioned it?
