'10 IL WR Kyle Prater

We embarrased them it wasnt even like fun lol he was seriously unblockable most the time coming off the edge he was not touched his first step is so quick

I can't wait to see him in Orange and White!

Guys like him can dominate a game.

Is it just me, or couldn't that message on the rock do the opposite of its intention? If I was a star WR, I'd want to go where I could get the majority of the passes...not where I'd just be one of about five really really good WRs. I understand that having more options might free you up for a big play once in a while (because of coverage), but I'm just wondering about this whole WRU method of recruiting.
Don't get me wrong, I'm really hoping we land this kid. I'm just throwing an idea out there to see if anyone gets where I'm coming from.
Like, if you could pick an NFL team to go to (as a star WR), would you want to go to Arizona, where they've already got three really good WRs...or like Tennessee, where you'd get the majority of the passes early and often.

These guys are all good enough they shouldn't be concerned about not getting playing time in college.

Other great recievers on the team will keep them from being double-teamed too often and allow them to better demonstrate their worth to the League.

If you haven't seen any film on this kid then I suggest you do. He looks to me like a J. Jones just starts from day 1. Don't know if he is too worried about compitition. I believe CLK system has a lot of 3 reciever sets. I think there will be plenty of catches to go around. I like Ambles and Milton, but to get this kid committed then signed, talk about HUGE. Unreal really. If you were a major QB, Bridgewater, how could you not want to throw to these guys for 3 years. It's just so dang exciting.

Alot of Julio comparisons with this guy... I personally would rather have him than julio because he is faster and just smoother in his routes

Love the Rock. Awesome job.

And any good WR would be smart to surround themselves with other good WR. If you are the only one then you will be doubled and zones will be created to stop you from getting the ball. You need other threats that the defense has to respect and you can work from there.

Don't know about all of these Julio comparisons. Don't really know if he's that good. He's good don't get me wrong but Julio and AJ Green are two of the best talents at receiver that I've seen in a while.

Someone else asked the question but there are no answers. Has anyone confirmed that Prater is here? I do not see it on any of the web sites, GVX, or anywhere. I think that if he were here that it would be posted somewhere.

I am pretty sure he is here. The only time I recall GVX posting about someone visiting on an unofficial visit is quarterbacks. Mainly Scroggins. I could be wrong but I believe he is here or is going to be here this weekend.

I can't remember where exactly, but I remember reading that his dad confirmed last night that he had left to get down here by this morning. I think he was supposed to get here at 8:30 or something like that. I can't say for sure that he is here, but I don't see how he couldn't be if his dad said he was on his way.

If we snag this boy i know we can strike out the "big fish" QB story and call it a "whale" and confirm it. Who knows Kiff and Co may have converted the mormon boy to a Southern Baptist!!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of people say a lot of stupid stuff. I definitely repeat some of it with a spin just for fun sometimes. But the bottom line that I'm trying to get at is this...

The cold hard fact is that any player could be recruited over if the player that replaced them is better. This wouldn't happen as often with the old staff but Kiffin will put the best players on the field no matter what.

Great post my friend.

No matter what our QB or WR situation is, or ANY position, we are going to continue to recruit the best that we can get every single year. It doesn't matter how weak the class is, our staff will go after the best.

If there's somebody out there better than Nuke for '11 we're not going after him or is there not gonna be another one like him at all? Which one is it?
Same thing goes for Bryce Brown. You never know what these kids are gonna do.

Committing armed robbery, stealing 6,000 dollars, stealing half a pound of marijuana, stealing a hand gun.... oh wait, that's just Ramar Smith. :p

Paint the Rock for this Kid guys! Come ON! If we get this kid we go to another level in the future!

Might not see the rock if it hasn't already been painted. He is already on campus.
