I think he should get a medal if it's true. I seriously doubt that is the incident that has scared teams off. You don't back off a top WR prospect like Ambles just for that. Doesn't happen. It doesn't affect team chemistry, doesn't really indicate anything about character (could just be a young, naive kid) and doesn't have a damn thing to do with what kind of player he is.Yeah... I remember this also but as far as I know, there is no credible source. Coaches would know more than we do so maybe they have been scared away.... Either way, I am not going to assume. If we are assuming it happened.... I am going to say it could be worse and at his age, a lot of us would have done it. She would be more responsible for it in my mind. He is younger and she is the one with the husband. He has no obligations to anyone. I am not defending the situation. Just saying. I do think it's wrong if it happened.

If we can somehow pull him in, it will shut up everyone about our offensive recruiting if Milton's commitment hasn't already.
Explain this to me. Sure, he will rise in the rankings, but how is it so awesome as to shut people up by getting the 46th overall receiver ?
Get Prater, yeah, but is getting Milton really on the STFU level ?

We landed Ambles, we landed a 4 star receiver in Milton - he's only 4 spots behind Keiwone Malone - and we are right on track with our offensive linemen. Everyone kept saying that not having a QB was going to kill our offensive recruiting and it doesn't seem to have affected it at all. Who out there do we get that we don't already have if we land Scroggins? We are going to get James Stone anyway and we lead for Demarco Cobbs. We are in really good shape offensively. We likely take three more O linemen, a guy that fits the system like Cameron Clemmons, James Stone and then a JuCo guy and I don't see a QB affecting that outcome one way or another.
If that were to happen, I would personally question the decision-making of my wife way before the kid.Hahaha. That's pretty awesome. The reason I'm against it is mainly because I'd hate someone to knowingly hook up with my wife. I am not married but thinking serious girlfriend in this situation. I don't blame him though. I blame her. He is doing what a lot of kids his age would do. But yes, his talent can't be over looked. I'd much rather have him over someone like dog murderer Vick who smashes them against pavement for losing. This is understandable. What Vick did will never be. 70,000 fans and 200 million wasn't enough so he bet on dogs killing each other and funded it. Sorry, sorry. Way drunk by now. I hate him though. I really do. Vick that is. Prater is ok in my book.
Check out this thread on Tidesports. It's titled:
UT lands WR Matt Milton and may get WR Kyle Prater (They already got Ambles)

So your saying it's the cumulative affect of getting Milton.
It just sounded like you were saying getting him would shut mouths alone.
k:

Yeah, no. I wasn't saying landing Milton was such a coup that it would quiet naysayers. Until we land a QB, there will continue to be doubters. I just think the direction that the offensive recruiting is going should be enough to satisfy those of us that are approaching this from a realistic standpoint. Hell, I'm thrilled.
Also don't discount Milton. He is a big, strong kid and he runs a 4.57. That's great speed for a 6'6" guy. You don't see guys with those abilities fail very often. He is an excellent pick up for this staff and a perfect fit in Kiffin's offense. Basically the only big guy we have right now is Quintin Hancock and he's a senior.
