'10 IL WR Kyle Prater

Coach O is recruiting him, that puts us in a position to get him IMO. He has a stout list to pick from, so we have our work cut out. Getting a visit, and having one of the best recruiters in the nation on him has to make you feel good.

Getting a visit is big, and we got some time to work on him. But the other schools, I'm thinking Oklahoma, have a lot to offer right now with little risk.

I think we sit pretty good with Prater. Fulton and Milton are on him heavy that's one reason we are still in his top 5. With his upcoming visit, I think we'll jump up his list and be on his mind as a finalist. This will be combined with how we do this season also.

Don't discount him visiting him us. A great visit with Lane and Coach Cheney, would definitely help us.

As long as Milton commits, and by all things I know he will, Prater will have a lot to think about when he leaves UT. He would have to think that it would be a great class to pull Ambles, Milton, and himself.

Because Calvin Smith is coming with Milton, Prater etc... this weekend, where do we stand with him?

Getting Prater would be great but I think we end up with Ambles, Milton, and Cobb and that is an outstanding group. Why would a QB not want to throw to that receiver group along with Nuke, Zack, and Teague? Bring in these guys and we get our QB.

im not holding my breath on prater. cobbs is a more realistic venture, IMO. right now Prater can go anywhere he wants. we have the 09 WRs and now we have Ambles and more than likely Milton as well. Praters the #1 WR and can go absolutley anywhere he wants and make an immediate impact. we have an untested offense right now, no QB, we are starting to look pretty loaded at WR, and of course we have to outcompete schools like OU and UF. i think those that are out there thinking that we have a legit shot at Prater because hes friends with Milton and Fulton are wrong.

we will have a legit shot at him when we 1) win; not every game obviously but 7 or 8 and a bowl, 2) grab a QB, 3) show that we can be a WR friendly offense, and 4) recruit, recruit, & recruit the heck out of him/pray to god.

however, it bodes well for us that we are 1) currently in his top 5, regardless of us being 5 or w/e, and 2) he will more than likely wait until NSD. we are not out of this, but it will be very, very difficult.

I know the #1 WR has interest in us but how much? Is there an early favorite possibly? I had checked him out a few months back but kind of forgot about him is there anything else? How about since we are getting Zack Fulton, will that help us in getting Prater?

People think it'll help if we get Fulton, Cooper, and Milton as they're all friends supposedly.

Really though, until we get a QB and prove something on the field, we're nothing better than a distant third. He's been naming us around 5th or 6th in recent articles.

Well alot of people think its a long shot, but we are in his top 5. He is visiting this weekend with Milton and a couple D Linemen. The commitment of Markeith Ambles is sure to help because he says hes trying to get Prater to join him. He will be taking an official later in the fall.

With all that said, plus with O recruiting him, we have a solid shot. A QB commit would help a ton though.

Hopefully Milton will commit this weekend while Prater is here and it will make him pull the trigger. However, I see Prater waiting a while before he commits. Maybe even announce it at the US Army AA game or on NSD. Just a hunch.......

Gosh. If we were to get these guys....

Already having Bryce Brown and Oku for at least the next 3 years, plus having some serious playmakers at WR...I'm seeing stars!

Now all we need is a QB, or for Nick Lamaison to end up being a stud.

Well were getting Fulton (I know wait and make sure) and if this Milton guy is really interested in us... He will def have a chance to play. And if the system of Kiffins works out this year maybe he wont worry so much about who will be the next QB.
