'10 IL WR Kyle Prater

True. I like our chances tho. Even tho he has said he favors USC and Okla, we are in his top 6 and he has never been to our campus. Throw in the power of our staff and the fact we got Milton and Prater in his ear. Sounds good to me.

And the ROCK. Can't forget the rock

They actually became friends several months ago Prater and Sims. Also it looks like when he stops in Knoxville on Aug. 1 he will then come to UA for a visit. Atleast that is his plans to see both campuses on the visit before his season starts. Apparantly Sims will be at UA when he comes in.

The good thing for UT in his recruitment is he will probably wait until NSD to commit so thats give the staff enough time to have a legit shot at his services.

Any quotes or anything from the article?

Nothing really to imply anything other then visits and Sims talking to him. I don't put alot faith otherwise into anything certian reporters say about any recruits including the ones who write about Bama but I will look again.

Cool, thanks.

Another thing to remember for us is that the style we play, now that could change but I doubt it. Our offense goes RB 1st TE 2nd and WR 3rd. Alot of times last year we only used one WR and that was Jones and he still had 900+ yards, at UF prob would have had 2000+. Now if we have this many we might get some spread offense going to though, especially with a player like Sims coming in who can run with the ball.

The reason I say this is because top WRs like Prater have to look at UA and say, well they signed 4 WRs for 2009 and already have 3 for 2010 and if we use B Sims at WR that is 4 for 2010 not to mention the top 3 returning receivers from 2008 are all under classmen. Which means in 2010 we will have 10 to 11 WRs on the team from right now with current commits. Add that to the TE we just picked with other soon to commit. This doesn't mean we won't get another WR for the 2010 class but I don't see us getting a player like Prater though, but we can dream to.

Nah, Saban is a throwback that believes in pounding the ball and playing great D (which works 100 times out of 100).

As a Tennessee fan, I hope Bama does try to spread it out more.

Groves, you aren't around like you used to be. New job or just waiting til season begins? We need your quality info.

Prater tweaked his hamstring in the second game of the day and didn't play much in the consolation game, but he was still the most dominant offense force on the field. Prater had three touchdowns on the day as well as an 80-yarder that was called back because he stepped out of bounds by inches before coming back and catching a bomb. His three touchdowns were all for long yardage including an 80-yarder that counted and a 50-plus-yarder on a tipped pass. He's a long strider and showed off his speed numerous times, running away from speedy defensive backs for his big scores and making the Midwest team a danger to everyone.

This kid is ridiculous. Would be crazy if we got him.
