'10 IL WR Kyle Prater

Proviso West wide receiver Kyle Prater showed again why opposing defenses will have to double him in pass coverage. A St. Charles North corner was seen trying to explain to his coach how Prater beat him for touchdown by stopping and leaping over him to make a catch. The corner actually mimicked Prater reaching over his back.

Prater, who continues to take snaps at quarterback, was also spotted making one-handed catches while warming up on the sideline.

We definitely need some tall targets out there on the field...hopefully coach O can work some magic.

5* RB last year in Brown, 5* WR this year in Prater, 5* QB next year in Lemay...2011/2012 would be pretty nice in that case :)

Bodes really well for UT, because before Rivals didnt have UT or ND on his lists and with him coming to Knoxville really looks good.

ESPNU 150 Watch List WR Kyle Prater cuts list down to six finalists
Highly-coveted pass-catcher Kyle Prater (Hillside, Ill./Proviso West) informed ESPN affiliate Web site IrishSportsDaily.com that he has made cut amongst his list of suitors.

The 6-foot-6, 195-pound target is now only considering Notre Dame, Alabama, Oklahoma, Illinois, Tennessee and USC. Auburn, Missouri, Michigan and Miami-FL were eliminated from his list of 10.

Additionally, Prater plans on taking all five allotted official visits before announcing his decision.

Last fall, he caught 60 passes for 948 yards (15.8 average) and nine touchdowns.

I think with the help of Fulton and Milton, we'll at least get one of the five official visits.

Going to end up being a NSD guy.

I dont know. He has already cut his list to six, so he is speeding up the process. But he wants to take all of his official visits (which I would do the same thing). I think he will announce not too long after the visits are over. Thats JMO. It is good that we have made the final cut. The thing that scares me is that he will be visiting Aug. 1st, so idk if we will get an offical visit or not. The odds are in our favor tho.

If we can get him here on the 1st and an official visit then maybe we got a chance. :crossfingers:

Maybe we should just watch out for everyone. ha

True. I like our chances tho. Even tho he has said he favors USC and Okla, we are in his top 6 and he has never been to our campus. Throw in the power of our staff and the fact we got Milton and Prater in his ear. Sounds good to me.
