How many recruits have you gotten right? Until youve guessed every recruit to come to UT right then dont judge or criticize by my "Illinois" info. What points to us being remotely in it for prater right now? Anything? Oh we were in his top 10, well hes got a top 4 now and we're not in it. Sorry Milton was intrigued by tennessee, but prater doesnt seem to be.

You really think Praters interested in a school with no QB? Oklahoma, Illinois, USC all are leaps and bounds ahead of anyone in his recruiting process. He probably wont leave the midwest now after Fiedorwitz(sp?) just committed to Illinois. That makes 3 of his good friends committed there now, it doesnt look like prater will be wearing orange and white anytime soon. Sorry I dont plant optimism in people, im more of a realist here, but dont go knocking on my Vader, im sure im not the only one whos gotten a recruit wrong, eventhough Milton hasnt commited yet.

If miltons ready to commit, he must not be to worried about whos throwing him the pig skin.. Could I be on to something...

All anyone can due in "reporting" on recruiting is guess. Period. These kids change their minds hourly, and there is an ENTIRE football season to play before anybody can sign. With a successful season, we arent out of it for anyone, IMO.

kinda confused y people think he has a top four.. the rivals article said he is STARTING TO TRIM (not has trimmed) his list.. he just listed those four schools as those he was really interested in.. he has said about a week ago he def wants to come see UT... he still has interest, just not as much as those other schools

Has he been to those schools in his "top four". Obviously he's been to Illinois, but has he been to the other schools. I know from all the past visits kids have taken under the Kiff era have all been amazing and have at least made the kids take a good hard look at UT. If he's already looking at UT and takes a visit then our chances have to be at least as good as the others for then at least.

im about 80% sure hes been to Oklahoma, but i dont think hes been to USC or Bama, i no hes been to Notre Dame and Ohio State

I haven't seen a prospect yet that hasn't liked his visit. Most loved it. I realize they do this everywhere but our staff seems to be throwing out the red carpet for every kid that comes by.

I know.. if he does follow up with his visit like he said he wants to i think we have a really really good chance at him.. and if scroggins commits i think are chances get a whole lot better immediately, also i think if JS commits then ambles jumps on board within a week or two

Yeah I think we have a 20% chance with Illinois having 30%, Bama 15%, OU 20%, USC 15%. Honestly thats pretty wide open and thats my personal guess. Maybe he loses interest in some of those schools later and maybe adds some but that will be the top 5. He starts looking at UT stronger after his visit. Again this is my personal prediction.

If you guys wanna check out Illi-message board. It is not world changing stuff but they do say he is good friends with Corey Cooper a DB commit to Illi. That they are only going on trips to recruit for the Illi. That Prater is a silent to Illi. I do not know about all this but I think he is more 50% Illi at least. They just got a good TE today too.

If Kiffinator and company can get this kid they are basically not mortal recruiters.

I think you gotta understand, Illinois was so bad for years and we have a breakout year, then go back to 5 wins. These players just want to make sure they can be on a team that competes. If we go out at win at least 7 games this year we will be okay. We have a great mix of seniors, and under classmen so we never loose too much at one time.

yeah, because we all know a recruit with offers from USC, OU, UT and the likes is just dying to get on board the Illini express...

spare me. hes not going to UI. good chance at staying in the midwest though, perhaps at OU. we arent out though.

Great try but, Thats my brother Jordan Phillips. Someone has already stated that on Illini site seeing my name here. I am a new enrollee in UT, and he plays baseball for Southwestern Illinois College..

Though you had me didnt you? Great job bud. Good talk.

And you obviously have no recruiting sense that Illinois and OU are by far his leaders. Your an idiot. If he goes anywhere but UI I will be very surprised, and 90% of the people on this board that have any clue know that.
