'10 IL WR Kyle Prater

I have heard a 5 year bowl ban and scholarships limited for 3-5 years.

Could be less, could be worse.

Either way, it is bad enough for them to get out of dodge. Yikes!

They finished 2nd, & were undefeated that year! If USC didn't win the title because they forfeit all wins that year, where does the Title go then?

If the title gets erased, that's it. It just goes away. No one else would be awarded that NC.

Well thats a bunch of crap, then any game played by any team that year essentially meant nothing then because there was no championship available, right? NCAA can eat my butt!

So death penalty not likely, got it. But a question of curiosity, if a program were to get the death penalty, would its athletes be allowed to transfer, and given the circumstances, be allowed immediate eligibility? Just wondering how it works.

When SMU got it the players could transfer to D-1 schools w/o loss of eligibility.

I dunno man. It's looking pretty bad. The whole coaching staff knows something big is coming and they're getting out of town. Carroll wouldn't leave for the Seahawks of all teams if there wasn't something going on. He's had NFL offers before and always turned them down. He never even considered them...

And USC offered to to punish themselves with self imposed sanctions, but the NCAA denied it and said they will hand out there own punishment. Not sounding good at all imo...

I think when it was being heavily considered for Bama they said they'd never give it again because of SMU. Idk if it's as bad as it seems then maybe they will. The $%!# is about to hit the fan so we'll see.

Sorry guys but there's no such thing as loyalty in sports anymore. i hope you guys get muschamp.

In related news, Prater just texted saying he loves the Kiffin hire and he's enrolling in USC on Monday the 18.

expected as much...you guys may end up with Ambles too. Of course, you've got to sit on the edge of your seats everytime Kiffin makes any statement...wondering if its true or if its going to get probation.

Honestly, he's not bolting from USC anytime soon. I don't hate your fan base...but right now your coach can suck it...hope you understand.

I felt the same way when i heard about the pete carroll news.

I wish I could wish USC the best, but I can't. I'm too bitter to have that kind of class right now. I hope LK and crew are a complete and total failure. If at some point they get canned, then all my best on a speedy recovery.

Hope you guys put together a coaching staff as quick as possible to save your top 10 recruiting class.

Best of luck

thanks, but it most likely wont work out that well

just curious, was there anyone from our recruits that USC is suddenly heavy on either "yeah we want" or "yeah, we've got this guy now" ?

USC's plan today was a "package deal" with Gruden, Chow and Coach O but Gruden wanted to bring in his own coordinators so then lane was offered.

Is there real truth to that? If Gruden was thinking about the USC job...you would think he would consider UT given his ties to the area...

wait huh? I'm confused, explain a bit more. Is this what they were originally going for today? I thought ESPN contract kept Gruden pretty locked up
