My take on the Rees thing now is they got word he was about to decide and went ahead and offerred. But we probably have not been going as hard at this kid as ND. JMO

you cant honestly just disregard this and throw your hopes into some person who we havent even heard of yet

besides, even if someone does emerge in the middle of the season, i wouldnt even bet a dollar that he will come here.

we all assume that every QB wants to come here, but no one is coming. we assume that they would be lining up to sign with us, but theyre not.

if were not careful, we will lose scroggins and rettig too, and then what? i dont know. but i dont like it. and i cant feel all optimistic about this mystery QB, because he's probably not coming here anyway

Per Rivals.....

He wants me to come up to camp with them (this month) but I just couldn't work it out. Right now I would say I could have a decision sometime in mid-July."

glass is alomst empty alert. By your rationale no one wants to come and we are doomed to trot Rozier out there for three straight years. These kids have not even STARTED their senior year yet. Dont you think there are a few blips on the radar our staff knows about that they will closely monitor and then pounce on if need be? Kids peak or hit their stride at different times and I will say it again, Id rather get on a kid that starts putting it together his senior year than when he is in 10th grade, that means he has more potential to keep exploding instead of turning into a white dwarf.

well as soon as we find the mystery guy, we will offer him, then he will get a lot of attention, then the school he really wants to go to will offer him, and then he will commit there. thats just how its going to happen until one of these kids proves me wrong.

I really dont see Tennessee offering Mason. I just dont think he is an SEC caliber QB prospect even among the bottom feeders. They could go out there and find better just about anywhere.

Recruiting him hard? Probably just trying to get his name out there. IF anything we've told him your on standby in case a happens with Scroggins/Rettig.

i dont , i respect the traditon they have up in south bend, as i respect the tradition they have down in alabama, but i enjoy beating them like a punching bag more so. i truely belive your not the best untill you have beat the best, same reasoning the BCS sucks.

I agree. All this talk about someone emerging this fall is silly. It happens very infrequently that someone totally off the radar becomes some highly-sought-after recruit. Banking on that is dangerous.

Yeah, he says we are recruiting him hard, and in the same breath mentions that he has spoken with Jim Chaney in what sounds like a single conversation. If we were going after him hard, speaking with Chaney wouldn't be of significance, he should be hearing from him all the time. I think his version of "hard recruiting" is sending letters every week which we are doing with a number of guys that we are keeping an eye on.

Rivals just put film out on him, I like him more than several other guys rated higher. If he was Bama's pledge, he'd probably be #3 pro-style in the nation at Rivals.com.

My only opinion on this guy is some very good evaluaters like this guy. So I trust he must be good. I cannot see those highlights they are pay only.

only problem is, ND should have a decent year...looking at their schedule, it's hard to imagine them not winning 8-9 games.
