"I'm going to recruit for my team now," he said. "They think I can help with bringing in a quarterback and I think I can help that as well. I'm going to start making some calls right away and I need to get myself a Tennessee hat now and wear it wherever I go. I'm a Vol now."

I like it. Bring on Bray.

We are on the verge of cracking the top 25 now for the '10 recruiting class. With the addition of Ambles, we are at #26.

Really? No offense to you UT guys, but I thought there was just a Scout story with UF, LSU, FSU, Bama, and ND as his top 5?

Good pickup for you guys.

I saw this. Why was there not any news on this? I noticed it on Tennessee's Rivals page under commitments, but didn't see any stories about this. Did this happen recently?

Monday but i think it was late

Does this pick up make you believe that we might have a QB recruit in serious contention? I know this is a redundant comment, but if we get Milton as well, there will be a considerable amount of interest from QB's all over.

Was this kid friends with Scroggins? I thought I saw earlier where they texted each other on a regular basis.

hell to the yeahhh! good things coming. call me crazy but i also think we are going to get milton for sure, maybe prater, good chance at cobbs, joyner, and luc(yes the freakish lb from florida). I am feelin the vibes reeking out of the Big Orange!

Bring on Paul Jones :)

We're not on his list according to rivals. He has every reason to stay at Penn Sate. He is from pennsylvania so he is probably a fan. It's closer to home. Clark is in his final season I believe. Joe Paterno is a proven coach. I think Bray is the teams best shot being a soft verbal. Not to mention UT has more going for themselves than SDST. We are trailing Penn St. at the moment.

Riiiiiiiigggghhhht.... That seems to happen quite frequently with players that were considering Flo-Rida & any other school. It's amazing how often the "directions" of the UF staff dictate the foreseeable future of so many 17-18 year old kids.

Get a clue bro. Unless you are being patched in to the recruiting meetings by Urban via the Subway Fresh Fit Hotline (ESPN radio reference), you don't know diddley sh*t.

I have an employee and son goes to high school there and she said Ambles told her son he wanted to come to Tennessee. He said he was getting pressure to go elsewhere but was going where he felt best and that was Tennessee. I don't know if he was ready to to Florida last week but two weeks ago Tennessee was where his heart was,

We were 26 yesterday, before Ambles. It doesn't automatically update whenever we get a recruit.

I didn't see it yesterday. If that's the case, we should definitely crack the top 25 then. If Milton commits this weekend as many expect, it will be even sweeter.

Holy crap!!

I totally didn't see this coming...

This is great...I don't care what anyone says about 40 time or character issues...

His offer list tells me what I need to know about his ability and I have full confidence that our staff will either rectify any character issues or get rid of him if they can't

So..who thinks this is the 'big surprise" Coach Cregg eluded to when asked about our chances with Scroggins last week?

Just so you guys know what type of player he is, last year he was mentioned as the potential number 1 recruit in the country by Mike Farrell...

Who is #1 player of 2010

Mike Farrell's answer: I'm going with McDonough (Ga.) Henry County wide receiver Markeith Ambles. He has the size, speed, ball skills and route-running to dominate at every level. He had 53 catches for 993 yards and 13 scores as a junior, and he's an acrobat when the ball is in the air. He was the most dominant player I saw at the U.S. Army Combine and recently pulled in offers from Florida and USC. He likely won't start off as No. 1, but I think he moves up the charts as the year goes along, and with a standout performance at the U.S. Army Game next January, he could push for No. 1.

This is a big surprise, but not the "Big Fish Surprise" from the radio show, IMO. After reading what Basilio said about X, I think something else is going to happen with the QB situation.
