I just don't understand why Ambles won't at least wait on a hiring to decide, since he was "All Vol" and since he doesn't even appear to be interested in going to USC to follow the Prince of Darkness.

F'em if they dont want to be Vols. Let the little cryin beatches go somewhere else. To hell with them

This is ridiculous, narrow-minded, and flat out ignorant. These kids didn't ask for their coach to leave 3 weeks before they sign their LOI's. How optimistic would you be in their shoes? These kids have the right to make a wise decision based on WHATEVER interests them most (ice cream anyone?). There is no doubt that quite a few members of our class were committed based on the NFL experience and position-specific expertise of a certain coach on the former staff. They have every right in the world to look around and see if there might be a school that can offer these things.

Most recruits did not grow up a UT fan like you...try thinking outside the box and facing reality. You don't have to support their decision, but atleast try to be understanding and refrain from bad-mouthing an 18 year old.

if it werent for Kiffin and staff, half of these players wouldnt even be eyeing us. He was great for one thing, recruiting. nothing else he did warrants us missing him or burning mattresses.

He said according to Scout. Get your ass over there and check it out yourself. I get so tired of everyone, you ALL the time, asking people for links. When someone says they heard from a BoT or big-money booster who probably knows some inner-workings how are they supposed to provide a link? If there were a link for everything said we'd all already know it.

bad day at the office

I think some of these guys may come back. It really depends on who we hire.

If it's Lovie Smith and that's not good enough, hey, whatever. At this stage, there's clearly a chance that the new coach is a much better coach. However, there's virtually no chance we can hire a better WR coach since we already have the best in football.

Commits are smart to wait and consider their options when they know who we have. UT is a classy program that does not condone misleading players and tricking them into committments. Be deliberate in your choice. Bryce Brown signed about a month late. NSD is the first, not last day to sign.

Stick with us, gentlemen! Paraphrazing a former Vol who played in Neyland and later in the Super Bowl, there's simply no better stage in the world to play than the one at Neyland Stadium.

Let's be honest. We have not been a classy program over the last 14 months. But I sure hope the next coach is a class act. The program follows its leader. And if you lay with dogs, you wake up with fleas.

Good.. If he doesnt want to be here for Tennessee the He** with him

I don't think it's that. We're all stuck with a confused situation. These commits didn't know Kiffin would just up and run out on them like he did. It'll be the new staff's job to regain their trust in UT and our return to our heritage of championship football.
