When asked if Markeith would get a 5th star:

There's already been some debate that has begun regarding Ambles. He has definitely helped himself. - Barton Simmons

Ambles is definitley making it hard for us to keep him from getting a 5th star. He is a natural pass catcher and looks very fluid. I would like to see the rest of the week before I promise anything in the star department though. - Barry Every

Yep, Ambles could if he keeps balling out the way he does. - Mike Farrell

Tennessee commit Markeith Ambles was named the player of the day for the East and was the Rivals.com analysts' pick for the best player on both rosters based alone on Tuesday's practices.

After having a very solid day Monday, Ambles, who is from McDonough (Ga.) Henry County, took care of business making big catches and big moves. He was the star of the one-on-ones for, toasting virtually anybody he faced with a bevy of moves and precise routes. Matt Elam, Jaylen Watkins, Keenan Allen and Latwan Anderson were all victims of Ambles on Tuesday.

Ambles isn't satisfied by any means with his performance.

"It wasn't my best practice," Ambles said. "If it was my best, I'd catch everything. I'd just give it like a 7 or 8. But, I can do better in the game on Saturday."

He won the Army Player of the Day Award...

Army All-American Bowl East Team Tuesday Top Performers
1. Markeith Ambles
WR, 6-2/182, McDonough (Ga.) Henry County
Committed to Tennessee
Ambles, a Tennessee commitment, made Monday's list at No. 4, but his performance on Tuesday was the best of the day. He was the star of the one-on-ones, toasting virtually anybody he faced with a bevy of moves and precise routes. Matt Elam, Jaylen Watkins, Keenan Allen and Latwan Anderson were all victims of Ambles on Tuesday. Ambles doesn't have the size like Kyle Prater or the speed of Christian Green and Ivan McCartney, but he simply finds a way to get open time after time. The East coaches are also game planning different ways to get the ball in his hands - which shows you how important he is.

He was #1 on the East's top performers list today. He was #4 yesterday...

If he has a great game added with the rumblings from the rivals writers he will earn a fifth star... rivals usually gives out 30 on avg. and they still have around 6 to give out if they keep up with the avg.

Im not that big of a "star" guy....but it does provide attention and a sales pitch to next years class...

Doesn't matter what "THEY" said, he was today's overall #1. What's so bad about that? You have a link to which "THEY" made the quote? "THEY" could be anyone and very biased.

I haven't seen many WRs with such smooth route running ability so early..he has been coached very well..wouldn't shock me if he and Thompkins are starting next yr with Moore and Jones in the slot

Is there any chance he gets a fifth star?
