'10 GA LB Bruce Irvin

This is on ESPN's recruiting site.

JUCO Bruce Irvin not finished with recruiting process

Mt. San Antonio College (Walnut, Calif.) linebacker Bruce Irvin committed to Tennessee in May but could be wavering on his pledge.

"I'm not sure about this Tennessee thing," he told EerSports.com after watching West Virginia's 35-24 win over Colorado last night. "I'm really likely what I see at West Virginia."

That does not sound good for us.

Irvin, 6-foot-4, 230 pounds, is a five-star (Scout.com) pass rusher already with seven sacks in three games for Mt. San Antonio College (Calif.). He committed to Tennessee in May but since has visited West Virginia and now ASU. Southern California also is talking to him, Mt. Sac coach Robert Jastrab said Thursday.

Seems odd he committed to UT but didn't visit here first. I would imagine if he hasn't scheduled an official to UT that seems even worse for us.

What does Bill Stewart do to these kids to make them fall in love with West Virginia??

They have a ridiculously easy schedule. South Florida and Cincy are their toughest games left. Tennessee would get nine wins with that schedule.

Well, can't say after James came on here regarding his recruiting process that I felt all warm and snuggly inside.

So which part is he loving about WVU the most? The fact that Auburn scored 41 points on WVU's defense when UT held Florida to 23 in the same weekend? Or the fact that the WVU defense allowed nepotistic Colorado's inept QB to throw for nearly 300 yards?

So Bruce is faltering on his commitment? I am more excited about him than any other recruit right now. He is an absolute playmaker!

I think he was going to visit alot sooner, but when the incident happened with a member of the staff saying his name in a twitter message happened he had to delay his visit to fit guidelines due to the violation.. I beleive that was Irvin..

I think that was actually JC Copeland

What?

The only one who that happened with was JC Copeland IIRC.

Its all good, it happens to the best of us.

Well I guess the ASU thing shoots a hole all up in the wanting to be close to home thing.

I just don't see why he would go visit ASU or WVU and not LSU or USC though.

Maybe just to get a free visit? It is puzzling.

If he was just going for free visits I"m sure there are places better than WVU or ASU. Well maybe he's into blow and STDs if he's going to ASU, I really don't know.

This is a huge blow though. Honestly he's probably the best player we have committed so far.

I can't see Orgeron and Monte losing him if we really want him. This may all be coming back to the SEC class requirements...
