JG I don't think you are going to like that avatar in about 4 days.

Miami is actually a private school. Doesn't have low admission standards. Tho, I can't say that holds for the fb players. I think it does hold true as much as any other schools, though i've heard they make exceptions ONLY for Miami city area players who come from rough hoods (to give them a shot to get outa that situation & get education).

I heard a rumor that Frank Gore was basically illiterate. Michael Irving, lol, come on most major programs 'bend' the academic requirements of athletes but I think Miami is in its own league.

I think I just worded my post wrong. I was basically trying to say that Miami doesn't have low admission standards. They do "bend" admission standards for athletes the same as any other school. But, the "exceptions" where they really lower standards are with local guys (like Michael Irvin) who come from local Miami rough hoods. Ok, that's better writing.

Frank Gore has a learning disability

Michael Irvin = STA... so that theory is out the window
I promise you Miami's admission standards are higher than Tennessee's

they do however have a certain number of waivers.

the same kind some old ND boosters would like installed at their institution

LOL @ the guy who said Miami has lower admission standards. Its probably twice as hard to get into Miami than UT seeing as its a private school.

Miami doesn't have minimum requirments to get admitted. If you can play and you meet min ncaa requirements you will get into miami. the sec has more stringent requirments therefore it is harder for a player to get into UT.

Here's how it works, twice as hard to get in and twice as easy to graduate. Okay, twice is a stretch but other things come into play at a private university like the overall cost of tuition and the fact enrollment is far less than a public university like FIU.

Willie Williams was an idiot. I know because I played behind last year at the hell hole Union College since he wasn't allowed to play in the NCAA. He never attended class and once the last game was over he was never seen again there.
