I feel like Ted never really gave the Vols a chance.
sometimes it happens a kid like that will get down about not playing and position change and he just checks out mentally.
Or just never fits in with the team/home sick/etc.
You all could be right but let's not forget the circumstances that Meline and the other EE's of the 2010 class arrived under...
We like to believe that these kids commit to the university...as they should...but I think alot of them that were recruited by the last staff did in large part commit to the staff as much if not more than the school
Most of the EE's of that class have adjusted well but let's not forget that none of them ever had the chance to decide whether or not they wanted to play for Dooley....
Sure they could have transferred immmediately but what kind of choice is that? Lose a whole year of playing football because the coach that recruited you bailed...
I think we've been fortunate that Meline is the only causualty of that EE group
Thompkins also bailed. Willis bailed.
Neither player ever enrolled in classes so they weren't bound to us the way the others were...they got a clean break...
The other 8 could either stay and play for a coach they barely knew and didn't commit to in the first place or they could transfer and sit out...
I'm glad Meline is the only defection from that group
I see what you're saying, but in my perception, we lost them, even if they didn't transfer, they were 100% gonna be here

Yeah...they were losses(sp?) And big ones at that...especially Willis...
But of the players that didn't get a clean break Meline is the only casualty thus far...and that's fortunate considering the circumstances they came in under
