I like Meline and would love for him to become a Vol, BUT... Ambles, Thompkins, and Milton>Meline. JMO

It's funny that a month ago Meline suggested he'd rather play D... now he's talking offense.

I think we're giving him the ol Rod Wilks. haha, "Sure you can play WR!!!"

Either way, I think Meline will make an impact with some years in the weight room and experience in a backup role. Whether that's at safety or wide receiver.

clearinghouse....good grief (in the immortal words of Charlie Brown). The clearinghouse has to be the NCAA's biggest joke, besides Slive, of course.

I think Meline gets shafted for respect around here... Ambles, Milton, and Meline are very diff. wr's... but imo, he is just as valuable as Ambles and Milton in this class...

some info on Meline that ppl tend to forget...

Ranked the 88th best player in the country, Meline was not able to contribute much during his junior year. He started out at quarterback for Westlake Prep, but a separated shoulder limited him to only two games last fall. His sophomore season was what put his potential on the map, where he amasses almost 2000 total yards while playing quarterback, wide receiver, and returning kicks and punts

Iagree with this post fully. Meline has maybe the highest ceiling out of these receivers that are coming in. He's a true burner with size. Once he puts on some weight and polishes up his route-running watch out. He can cut like a 5'9 guy and he's 6'2. I like Meline a lot and I hope he still comes here.

Hard to say when none of them have played a down of college football yet. With the exception of Thompkins at the Juco level. Meline could wind up being better than all of them.

I am feeling good.

Its gonna be pretty exciting seeing some of those plays that went for 10 yards turn into 50 yard big gainers and TDs.

anything new on meline fellows???? i know hes an ee and he was supposedly looking around????? be nice to keep him if ambles is second guessing but maybe since we got kippy ambles will stay on board

I think Meline will end up in the secondary with all the other wr's that we are bringing on board. I think we may see teague in the secondary as well coupled with the loss of vinson for depth.

No person who saw Teague play this season can honestly say his future is in the secondary. Provided he stays healthy, I think we will see him become a very dangerous WR in this offense.

Meline,

Hope this boy sticks around and get coached by one of the best around....KIPPY

Why do people keep hinting at Teague moving to defense???? Makes no sense whatsoever.

I wasn't saying it because he isn't any good, I was thinking he could do it because of his superior athleticism, but if thompkins, ambles, and milton coms in and are an immediate impact along with jones and moore, I would hate to see him get lost in the shuffle.

Teague wll stay on offense IMO, more valuable there. Wilks will be placed back at defense before Teague will. If wilks hasn't already been moved back to the defensive side of the ball.

I agree...... Thompkins will be an imediate playmaker, Ambles, Milton, or Meline will redshirt next year.

You really never who will redshirt, because Kiffin probably promised a lot of them playing time in order to get their commitment in the first place.

I think we could see a similar situation to this year. When we talk about redshirts, we don't anticipate injuries. As physical as preseason practice, and even spring ball is, I can see one of these guys, or one of the current WRs being hurt and completely changing the outlook. This will be a great rotation to watch.

I can promise you that's not true. They were promised only the opportunity to EARN playing time. That's how it always is with this staff.

I agree, most of the recruits in their interviews have stated this numerous times.
