'10 FL OT Chaz Green

Now that's just asinine. Just because someone has an astronomical post count it does not mean they are credible. Now sure, you're probably right on your assessment that the poster is full of it. But who are you to know?

Long time lurker...first time poster. Keep up the good work recruiting junkies :thumbsup:

I've enjoyed it so far.

Welcome to VolNAtion...GBO!

"It hasn't really affected me," Green said of the negative publicity. "I know what kind of school they are. It's something to think about and worry about, but at the same time I know that they're not really doing anything wrong."

Much of Green's opinion on UT comes from his official visit to Knoxville in October. Green had heard about UT's brash young coach, but found a far different Lane Kiffin once he arrived on campus.

"Everybody was flipping out about it, but after I went up there, Lane Kiffin, he's a good coach," said Green, who is one of 88 players selected to participate in Saturday's Under Armour All-American Game.

Green is set to visit Florida and Southern California in January. He visited Ohio State in September.

"He is important because we developed a long relationship, so if he were to leave it would alter my view on them," Green said. "It would be a factor if he said he's not going to be back whatsoever. It would be something I would consider but it's not like I would drop the school completely."

"Everybody loves Monte," Green said. "Before he came to Tennessee, we were real big Monte Kiffin fans around here in Tampa when he was with the Bucs. That is a definite major plus. You know the defense is going to be straight with him coaching it up."
:good!::good!::good!:

no at the fact that he told vos extra some things that make it seem like it is not important then the next post says "that he is vary concerned"

The first guy's quote was in reference to the negative media that we're receiver about our recruiting practices - not about Urban like the other post is (if you're referring to Vader's post).

Chaz Greens team, Tampa Catholic lost this afternoon to the Jacksonville Bolles 21-7. That ends there season for the Class 2B State Championship game.
I watched this game. Green came out and blew his man off the ball on running plays but he had quite a few whiffs on pass protection. His man put a good amount of pressure on TC's QB. It will be interesting to see how he does in the all star game.

offensive line recruit chaz green of tampa (fla.) catholic thinks the tennessee coaches simply don't know recruiting rules very well.

Green told govolsxtra.com, "they're just new to the process, the nfl guys. There are a lot of rules they need to catch up on that they're not sure about. That's really the main problem. They're just trying to understand the rules of college football."

of course, tennessee has been plagued by recruiting violation ever since lane kiffin arrived on campus. All have been minor, including the recent stories about the use of hostesses, but they may be committing these violations without even knowing they did something wrong.

Green said he gathered this from his visit to knoxville in october, but he says this negative publicity doesn't affect where he wants to go. He is still considering tennessee.
