'10 FL OT Chaz Green

I didn't mean to go down this path but it is 100% fact that Kiffin negative recruits us like hell. He told Jaylen Watkins that he is more likely to get arrested if he goes to Florida because of our culture. He told Chaz Green that our offensive system could easily result in a career ending injury. I am not saying Urban Meyer doesn't say similar stuff...but come on. Lane is as aggressive as it gets and he will say whatever he can to get a recruit.

again you are making huge assumptions about our coach based on a lot of hearsay. You lost him so it must be because CLK lied to him? That's a bunch of crap

Agreed. It's not hard to see whose blocking schemes are more comparable to the ones used at the next level. I'm sure Chaz could figure that one out on his own. Also, I doubt his parents as UT alums would be willing to sell the Vols out as negative recruiters.

It's as true as Urban telling Jevon Snead that Tebow would play linebacker.

Like it or not, CLK can likely show proof that those likelihoods are true. Look at arrests per year under CLK and then under Urb. Which one is higher? Not quite sure on the injuries but I would think that he's on to something. OL that are spread and move around alot more like in a spread offense are more susceptible to injury.

Big deal. What major college coach doesn't negative recruit.

Anybody? Bueller? Bueller? Crickets.

I guess you could say it is true. It pisses me off that Silberman may be looking more at UT for the same reason. I just don't see it.

Lane is doing a great job in the state of Florida this year. This reminds me of Ohio State a few years ago when they got some really good prospects from the state. Lane has gotten some secondary Florida recruits but the major ones could be special. Jeff Luc, Matt Elam, Demar Dorsey, Chaz Green, and Christian Jones would be an outstanding haul.

BS, you went there because he is coming to UT instead of UF. Go cry to your fellow gator fans, we are sick of it.

But....but....there is NO WAY that Chaz could have come to that conclusion on HIS OWN

Playing time is an easy sell to these kids and until more OL come from spread team then it will always be a easy thing to point out to recruits. Its the nature of the game. Kiffin isn't doing anything different than ALL coaches he's pointing out the facts. I'm not sure about him as a coach(yet) but the guy can recruit with the best of them.

It's the truth though if you look at how many arrests Florida has had per year over the past 4 years.

And you think any major college coach doesn't do this? Seriously if the only thing standing between Florida landing a big time recruit is a little negative recruiting against UT, are you going to give a crap if Meyer rakes Kiffin or UT over the coals? Coaches that win don't give a crap about stepping on another university's toes or pissing rival coaches off.

I think playing time and the fact both his parents are UT grads really hurt Florida on this one. Not a big deal as its been known for a while that Chaz was favoring UT. Good pickup for Tennessee.

You have absolutely NO basis or fact for this. If you lose recruits, dont resort to flat out lies to make yourself feel better.

Since Kiffin arrived, UT has more arrests than UF.

JANORIS JENKINS
Charge: Misdemeanor affray and resisting arrest without violence for his role in a May 30, 2009 fight outside a downtown Gainesville night club.
Outcome: The State Attorney’s Office is currently investigating.
Team punishment: To be determined.

MARQUIS HANNAH
Charge: Felony burglary of an occupied dwelling unarmed and misdemeanor battery in late April 2009 for allegedly forcing his way into a Gainesville apartment and punching a man in the face.
Outcome: Case was dismissed due to lack of evidence, according to lawyer Huntley Johnson.
Team punishment: To be determined.

CARL JOHNSON
Charge: Misdemeanor violation of a sexual restraining order in February 2009 after getting on the same campus bus as an ex-girlfriend. The woman previously filed a petition claiming Johnson date-raped her on three occasions.
Outcome: All charges were dropped due to a lack of evidence.
Team punishment: Johnson never missed any time. Coach Urban Meyer said Johnson would remain on the team as long as the investigation checked out.

RILEY COOPER
Charge: Misdemeanor resisting an officer and failure comply with a police or fire department in February 2009. Campus police cited Cooper for not getting out of the way of a moving car upon police’s orders, according to Johnson.
Outcome: The case was dismissed.
Team punishment: Cooper played baseball during the spring, and it’s unknown whether Meyer sought out punishment.

CAM NEWTON
was also arrested around this time last year (reported on Nov. 21), and that was just days before Lane Kiffin was brought in as the new head coach (he signed his memorandum on Nov 30).

That's through June of this year, so anything in the last 5 months wouldn't be on there...
