'10 FL OT Chaz Green

OL Chaz Green (Tampa, Fla./Catholic): Green doesn't say much about recruiting, but the buzz at the Under Armour All-America Game earlier this month was that Tennessee was the team to beat. However, don't count out Florida, where he visits officially this weekend.

I hope he understands how many OL that have interest in UT that probably don't care as much about publicity as they do a spot being left for him on UT's Roster. I am not saying we turn him away but we are pretty hi up on alot of other OL's list and I would hate to see him wait to long and us not have a scholly for him. I seriously doubt this happens would just like to see him make his decision.

so they want you to post a link on message boards so they can get revenue from it? Interesting concept and I wonder if it will catch on

FTR, it is not against VN rules to copy/paste from that free blog. I removed it because of its length and formatting.

specific to Chaz

** It’s no secret Chaz Green is the Number 1 offensive line target on UT's board. After Chaz Green, there is quite a divergence of opinion on just who the top offensive line target or targets are versus those "perceived" by let’s say the general public. UT is in great position with Green but by no means is his recruitment over. Even with the limited spots in this recruiting class, at least 2 possibly 3 more offensive lineman will likely be signed along with Zac Fulton and Marquis Pair. For the doubters, James Stone from Nashville Maplewood is still very much a legitimate target for UT. Maybe it’s just me but I don’t think John Cullen winds up at UT. Sure would have helped if he could have been a mid-termer.

I say it is pretty safe to assume that at this stage of the game most recruits will wait until NSD.

I feel the same way about Cullen. He's been way too complimentary/glowing of UT to not be committed yet. We are in on too many solid 4 year OTs to take a 2 year guy like him imo. He's a solid player, but I don't think you take him over a Kouandjio, Coleman, or Robinson. Things would have been different if he was able to enroll early.

Just my humble, non-sourced opinion.

Cullen said in an interview not too long ago (and no I dont have the link) that UT is still his top choice and he is taking the extra classes right now so he can play here.

I would love to have Cullen. He could def step in and play well immediately.

You don't turn a guy like Cullen down when you lose 4 starters no matter. He's a beast and will be light years ahead physically over our incoming freshmen OL

You have to take into account how many spots we have left. Do you turn down the 4 year guys for a guy like Cullen when spots are tight? I sure as hell wouldn't.

Yea but look at our schedule next year, we're going to need as many physically ready OL right now as we can get. We can get more 4 year OL in the '11 class

Good point, but do you want a freshman to get ripped a new one when you have a more polished product who can hold is own right now. It is a tough decision, but OL needs help yesterday, not in two years.

This!! Cullen is a must. Get him with Douglas.

Then hopefully Schofield (SP?) will be ready. From there, who knows?? Freshman or Dallas Thomas or Cody Pope. Really don't know.
