May, or may get a few years in prison, you never know. Sometimes the judges make examples out of people and/or athletes. The lack of finances for a lawyer hurts him too.

As I stated in another thread, there is a reason why Luc was considered a done deal here. He told coaches here that he was coming here. The information was never wrong. The kid just changed his mind. You'd be shocked to know how many kids commit on their visit and change their minds later and it never gets publicized.

If you guys want to rip on someone for getting a prediction wrong, I'll be your punching bag, but take the info for what it's worth which is nothing until Signing Day or enrollment.

Man, you guys really are uninformed over here. Did noone ASK Jeff who his favorite team was? He has been a die hard Nole fan his whole life. All he was waiting on was to find out who the DC would be.

And for those who say Jimbo wont last, and talk about how much he sucks... his Offense this year did a HELL of a lot better than UT has in any of the past 4 years, so the proof is in the pudding.

Our DC is a done deal, the only reason it hasnt been announced is out of respect for the players he is coaching now.

And the reason Smart would leave Alabama to move to FSU is because he has strong ties to Fisher, who has strong ties to Saban. Saban brought in Sunseri to be Smarts replacement when this transition took place. Smart is from nearby tallahassee. And Smart will get a HC job much faster being the DC of a defense he controls rather than a DC of a Saban controled defense.

I understand the animosity of losing recruits, I truly do. And I understand the passion of UT fans, as I live in TN and I like TN as my second favorite team. But some of you guys... BY NO MEANS NOT ALL... but some of you are simply throwing childish insults out for no reason what so ever. One poster had the audacity to actually call it the criminoles, when just weeks ago you guys had two players robbing a convenience store at gun point with another player driving the get away car.

Now I know that situation may not be as it was initially reported, but the same applies to some of the things you guys are implying about FSU. Yes, Im a Nole fan, have been all my life having grown up in South Florida. But I love UT to, as they recruited me very effectively as a Junior and Senior in High School, and Coach majors was a man I will never forget meeting, PERIOD! I give props to you guys for doing such a great job with recruitment this year, and I will admit when you guys got the Byrnes duo there were posters on WC talkin trash too, but we had other fans classy enough to straighten them out.

In my humble opinion you shouldn't be mad at FSU or FSU coaches for recruiting this kid, it is there jobs. The ones you should be mad at are the so called insiders who convinced you Luc was a lock. In recruiting, when dealing with 17-18 year old young men, there are always uncertainties. These kids are impressionable and easily deceived. I honestly believe the NCAA should require a parent or coach to accompany ANY recruit on ANY visit, for the sake of the recruit.

Having said all that, you guys are good to go, you have a hell of a class already and there are still 2 months to go. You guys are gonna bbe kickin ass next year and competing for the MNC the year after, so be happy and enjoy the limelight.

I also think FSU will to, but then again, I drink the Kool Aid :p.

This is a great post. I think that the part about the parents is a bit off base though, the bottom line is that lots of these kids do not really have parents and you do not want hs coaches becoming de facto agents. They will be on their own at college, so they should not have a fake experience. Wish there were more Eric Taylor's for Juice, but lots of these kids are coming from hellish circumstances.

Oh yeah, one more thing... the rumors about Nuke coming to FSU are all over WC too, and there are a lot of folks excited about it, but my understanding is the charges would have to be dropped for it to go thru, and even then I personally dont like it. I know he is great, and he actually hails from my part of the Muck, but the last thing we need are kids like this, and were pretty well off receiver wise right now.

BUT the coaches do not consult me on these decisions :p, so I guess I will have to live with it if it happens.

Have any of you guys heard any rumors that the charges may be dropped due to the victim changing his story after he found out they were UT players?

Wrong on Jimbo's offense vs. UTs. Wrong about Kirby Smart leaving Bama. Wrong about Luc being a 'Nole lock all along. The rest was fun to read but I have no opinion on it.

That's ridiculous. The victims aren't cooking up the charges, the state is.

In other words, your info is totally wrong. Nuke did it and he'll have to pay. You don't need him. Trust me on that.

Why is everyone trippin over this whole Jeff Luc thing we have another linebacker in Micheal Taylor. He is just as a solid tackler as Luc he has better pass coverage and he flies to the ball. Hes had over 300 tackles in his last two seasons. And i also think Taylor is a MLB IIRC. Btw micheal taylor is faster than Luc too. Just because Luc is stacked doesnt mean he'll be running all over the field. Hes more of a run stopper and less off a sideline to sideline linebacker. Micheal Taylor is an all around linebacker IMO.

ok, I never said Luc was a Nole Lock, I said he is a die hard Noel fan his whole life. Had Bobby not stepped down, and named Chuck the Chest the new DC, Luc most likely would be in Orange and white next year. I do believe that!

Now the Kirby Smart leaving Alabama thing, this is even a debate on our boards... I personally think it is him, others think it is Sunseri. I am happy with both, but the insiders I trust all say Smart. As for his credentials, well, we are goin off of the fact that all of Sabans other DC proteges are doing very well, so yeah, even though he has 1 year as DC, he has worked with Saban longer than that, and I think he will be great there. Both he and Sunseri are great recruiters, so like I said I am happy wiht both.

OH Yeah, as for Luc competing against Nigel for play time, we are swapping to a 3-4 next year, so he will eventually be playing along side of him. And with luck so will C. Jones ;).

No No... you misunderstood what I meant. I heard that the store clerk or whoever it was that got robbed, kind of started saying that they didnt want to press charges once they found out they were UT players. I did not mean to insinuate that they cooked up the original charges in any way. Sorry for the miscommunication.

It was the guys that were robbed that said that, the clerk was never involved until after. I didn't get the impression you were saying they cooked it up, I just meant that the State is going to prosecute because it's a crime -- regardless of the wishes of the victims.

I don't know law, but I know enough to tell you that a bank that's robbed cannot choose not to press charges against a bank robber. :good!:

That is actually great news to me, I really dont want him, even if charges were dropped. We have to hear things like Criminoles enough as it is, letting this kid enroll after what he just pulled is a PR nightmare in my opinion. And yeah I dont think we need him, regardless of how good he is.

ya'll have been posting on here that Luc was a "Lock" for a while now and I told you to be rational lol.. what he said i mostly agree with as an fsu fan other than I believe its gonna be Sunseri as DC but either way its one of the two....As for this Richardson, Jimbo doesnt take any shiiit and unless this kid has a come to jesus i dont believe he will be wearing garnet and gold anytime soon. But keep bashin me and every other fsu fan, for i was the one that brought up the Luc to FSU link 4 days ago and everyone was hattin and didnt want to listen.....

I know he's just a freshman, but folks around here were disappointed with what we've seen out of him on the field outside of maybe 2 plays. That was before all of this.
