First off Brent Hubbs of Volquest.com was quoted as saying "Nothing official but it does not look like (Gran) is going to remain at Tennessee. Again nothing official just not a lot of confidence in him staying at UT."

And Jeff Luc is at FSU dont have a link but it has been comfirmed by a lot of people....he said he was gonna take one final after football and make his decision.

I still like our chances with Luc. We are letting Gran leave. If Kiffin feels he isn't worth the pay raise, then I trust his decision...

Yes, letting him leave. Look at his body of work:
Jose- Vol
Meline- might lose him
Palardy- Vol
Delvin Jones- probably not going to be a Vol regardless of Gran
Williams- probably not going to be a Vol regardless of Gran
Luc- Gran doesn't matter
Chrstian Jones- Gran doesn't matter
Green- Gran doesn't matter

So Ted Meline is the only recruit we may be in danger of losing because of Gran leaving. So I ask you, is Ted Meline (if he leaves) worth $140K? People talk about Gran like he is some big time hot shot recruiter. But when you actually look at who he has signed on the trail, you probably won't be very impressed jmo...

I understand your point, but you sound like a disgruntled fan after a recruit goes to another school...Gran is a good coach and a good connection to South Fl. We can replace him but don't act like it's not a loss.

I think he is saying that if we replace him with someone as good or better, its not a big loss. Which makes good sense.

Ok. Why is Kiffin not giving him any money if he's so valuable? This isn't a big loss like alot of people are thinking...

Well all i can say is he's at FSU right now and everyone i talk to said they would be shocked if he doesnt sign with us.....anybody that thinks Gran isnt a big loss if only kiddin themselves just like they were about Luc bein a "lock".

Monte Kiffin is the reason Luc is interested in UT.

i tried to warn about FSU but no one wanted to listen. Luc will be a star and we needed him is an understatement.

Yea but he'a also recruiting against 3 big time in state schools. That is usually very hard to overcome. Gran's relationship with palardy is unparalleled. that worries me

I do think Gran is a valuable member of this staff. He is a VERY good RB coach and a solid recruiter. I just don't think he is the epic recruiter that alot of people do. He is not on the level of Lane, Orgeron, or Thompson. He can be replaced by someone just as good imo...

There is a reason Kiffin interviewed Gran for the job 3 times before he got the job and only gave him $185K while he immediately offered $400K to Rodney Garner for the same position...

My roommate just said jeff luc supposedly committed to FSU. He's on his visit right now. My roommate is an FSU fan FWIW but he knows his stuff. If true this succccccccccccckkkkkkkkkks!
