The Gators tend to make the primary position of their bigger outside linebackers Will: Stamper 235 lbs, Doe 231 lbs, etc.
Their smaller outside linebackers tend to play primarily as Sams: Jones 226 lbs, Hicks 221 lbs, etc

Doe and Stamper played will because of their athletic ability...imo. And your lb. comparison is only 6-10 pound diff.... but i don't keep up with strong's d like you do...could be wrong. Just stood out to me....

So swampy in your honest opinion do you think luc will be a gator if strong stays and if strong leaves where do you believe he goes still florida? by no means saying ur a reliable source just curious to see if other fan bases have the same feel about luc coming to them as we do?

If you want to argue, go over to the Mack Brown thread and tell us how he's not going to visit or change his commitment to UT. I mean, why would he want to play running back anyway? Apparently Urban has him talked into playing that....whatever it is you call RB/WR/BS position.

Who's the last RB Florida had drafted? Fred Taylor or something? Geez.

every fan base has heard very positive statements from Luc as he's telling them what they want to hear. FSU fans thinks he's theirs, Florida fans think he's theirs and we've established you guys think it's all but a done deal.

ultimately it'll come down to personalities. if Charlie Strong stays i think Luc's a Gator. if he does leave the Gators, i think Florida falls behind the other two schools even though playing time is more readily available (Spikes and his backup Stamper graduate) and it's the closest to home. at that point it's hard to say whether FSU or the Vols have the best shot at him.

Luc looks up to Derrick Brooks, he's been encouraging him towards the Noles and it's already being speculated that Brooks may find himself on the FSU staff during the coaching turnover. if that happens I give the edge to FSU. Luc's family already vetoed Miami and after all until you get either one of his parents up to Knoxville for a visit I have a hard time swallowing the Vols as the leader. if that ever happens I give the edge to UT.

Georgia could have sneaked in there with Luc's teammate already on board but today's firings probably killed that.

Brooks would have to give up his gig with ESPN, his other gig with Sirius, presumably his spot on the FSU board of trustees (which by they way if he is pushing Luc one way, that would be frowned upon by the NCAA), and diminish the time that he is able to spend with his charity (that he currently devotes a good bit of time too)

Besides, i highly doubt he will tell Luc that going to play under Monte will be a bad decision.

Not exactly sure what you mean by "personalities" and readily admit that I have absolutely no idea where Luc will sign... but if he's looking at DC's then Charlie Strong vanishes in Monte Kiffin's shadow.

If anything you would think Brooks would tell Luc to go play for the coach that made him a future Hall of Famer................any guesses who that would be?

Wow leave it to a Gator to leave the most rational post on here. Ya'll are delusional if you think Luc is a for sure lock to UT. Like swampy said he's tellin everyone what they want to hear. As i said before it will most likely come down to FSU and UF....IMO he's waiting to see what happens with FSU's DC and the Charlie Strong deal...lol but it sounds like you UT fans are putting a lot of eggs in this basket.

and we now have an FSU troll...this is def. the most popular recruiting forum...

To the FSU and UF guys, we aren't basing our opinion of where Luc goes on what he has told the media, so that "telling everyone what they want to hear" reasoning is bs. There are two posters on the UT Rivals board with several close connections to Luc (including his brother and coach I think) that are saying it is all but a done deal. Saying it will come down to only FSU and UF is ignorant, plain and simple. I'm not counting either out by any means, but I'm going to trust our inside sources because they have proven to be very reliable in the past.

The issue with him waiting on the UF and FSU DC situations is that he is an EE and those situations won't likely be settled until early to mid January and he will already be at UT.
