Whats our odds at this point on landing Luc ? And if we get the Luc commit will that influence any other top recruits to follow?

Luc still has a few playoff games left- providing his team continues to win:
Tomorrow his team plays Boca Raton in the regional semifinals. The winner of that games then plays on Friday Dec. 4th in the regional finals. The State Semifinals is on Dec. 11th. The State Championship is on Dec. 19th.
I wonder if his announcement is also based on how long his team plays in the state playoff.

Flvol53 is still saying he is a lock to us but LV says about 80-85%..................which sounds pretty darn good. Jeff is a guy you could build a D around so MAYBE it could influence a guy like Christian Jones, who will play OLB if I'm not mistaken. Outside of that, you never know.

And with the importance of the LB in Monte's D. LBs know it takes more than 1 LB and all can be stars.

I would say he knows Elam :wink2: being that their two schools are only an hour a part and I believe they have been on trips together.

Luc and Elam would be huge.

For the time being, yes.

Thing is, we need to fill needs. While Luc would definately do that, we need O-Linemen in the worst way. Fact is, we're probably not going to finish with #1 rated class just because of that.

Honestly, until the kids make it onto the field, class ranking doesn't mean a thing.


Just look at UT's 05 class...

Subtracting from the gators and adding to the Vols, yea that sounds good. MLB and SS positions shored up for three to four years, much needed.

The Berry announcement timing (whenever he decides to announce he will go pro or not) plays into recruiting. The general concesus is he will go. Think DB recruits are in a holding pattern?

I'm not sure how much of an affect this has. Sure, it opens up a spot, but recruits right now would only be on the team with him for one year, and some may even prefer to be on the team with him for a year and learn from him.

I thought we were expecting him to announce his decision by end of November? But then again I haven't looked in this thread in a few days and may have overlooked 20 or more new pages

Now everyone seems to think he will announce sometime between December 14 and December 19, I think.
