There is an article in the TCPalm today, Luc's coach says he is holding out on a commitment so his teamates can get more exposiure. What a team player. I like this kid more everyday, but if this is the case I don't think he will anounce until after his season is over.

Any coach that can have duke 5-4 at this point in the season has done a hell of a job, but yeah i get what your saying. Maybe back to back winning seasons will get him recognition. They love ol' Cut here in NC.

It wouldn't seem to make much sense. But, neither did the Dabo Swinney hire. And, Maryland's probably going to stick with James Franklin after they force Fridge out. The ACC is all effed up.

I think everyone is going to be surprised by the hire at UVA. I read on a Cavs and ACC blog site that UVA is "looking" at Ken Niumatalolo(Navy) and even put in a call to Paul Johnson about his former OC. Cav fans want Charlie but I doubt UVA goes that direction. Ken is a great coach and after ND win he's on the "it" list with Brain Kelly. Navy is one of the most rigorous institutions in the country so he'll be a great fit in that aspect plus he already recruits in the ACC back yard.

Ya'll kill me! If i wanted to read about the ACC and UVA I would have looked for that thread! Stay on subject! This thread is about Luc! I hate looking for updates on recruits and all I can find is crap about who will coach at UVA! If you wanna talk about that then get outta here and start a new thread so those of us who dont care can actually find what we are looking for!

If Navy really wants to make a go of it they should go after Kelly. I don't know if he would be interested but i would throw the kitchen sink at him. Niumatalolo is a good coach but i can't see him competing for ACC championships on a regular basis. Kelly would probably win the ACC his first year as screwed up as that league is.

Is that a joke? Have you seen what the SAT or ACT scores are on average. The core classes require Physics, two courses in Cal and other science and math elective sorry but no basket weaving, social science or PE majors. US weekly and Princeton Review always have them in the Top 50 institutions.

True but I think post got off track because of some info about Strong getting a HC job as it relates to his relatioship with Luc.

Don't wanna get off track too much, but, HG, do you have any info on Corey Lemonier and/or Calvin Smith. The writer for Florida HS athletics recently said that Vol fans should feel very good about those two and Smith has recently said that he is down to UT and Illinois.

I posted it back in the Vandy visitors thread. Basically that Calvin is all Vol and will commit during visit.(Kid has "T" sticker in his locker). Corey, had a visit from Kirby Smart and is trying to set up official to Bama. CL has dropped Illi from his Top 3 so it looks like Vols if Bama doesn't offer Calvin if they want to play together in SEC.

Okay, I would expect them to be Vols if we have room for both of them. They have been very adamant about playing together at the next level. CL is a super talent and I wasn't sure on CS. He's not quite what we want at DT, but he could be a good OL for us. He wasn't interested in playing OL but, the more we've seen him, the more he looks like he could be a DT for UT. That and we may be losing a few DTs that are current commits. Our DL class is going to be badass.

Yeah, they will bring CS in at DT but I'm not entirely convinced of their intentions there. :wink2:

I'll write about both in my next blog entry.
