From what I heard he has been a lock for over a week (after Monte's call) and if/when he gets cleared for EE, he will be a huge recruiter. Expect to see many more Florida "leans" in the near future.

Just remember guys that Luc is going to be the same player whether he's a 5 star, 4 star, or 3 star. Just because someone slips a few spots in the rankings doesn't change them as a player. He's the exact same guy that that was a 5 star a few months ago.

I don't care what Rivals says, he is the best overall defensive blue chip in the country in my opinion.

:eek:lol: :eek:lol: Sorry PT, we just can't get out of your head. I cannot wait to get Luc(if this is true) in a Vol uniform. Let him be the first one off the bus to intimidate the opposing team. He will be the big physical playmaker at MLB that will haunt offensive coordinators for years to come

If he is half the competitor he seems to be, he will come in with a chip on his shoulder with the doubters saying hes not as good as they thought. He is not someone who I would want to play against with a chip on their shoulder, hes got big shoulders...

I 100% agree w/ your point but I disagree that it doesn't matter. Of course we still want him no matter where he slips in the rankings but we are also aiming for a #1 recruiting class and, thus, the rankings do matter. Kiffin & staff want a #1 class and he's commented on Bama's back-to-back #1 classes several times. The rankings also matter to the recruits (although not a major factor it's still a factor), as top recruits generally prefer signing w/ a top class. The possibility of signing w/ the #1 class this year will be used as a strategy for Kiffin & co. and so having Luc as a five-star player would certainly help toward that end. I agree w/ your overall pt, however, that his ranking does not effect him as a player. Five-star rankings could effect our class standing, however, which effects recruiting tactics, national recognition going forward, and signing other players (potentially) this year and also going forward. I hope he gets his 5-star status back (which I think he will btw) b/c we are going to be fighting for the mythical national championship in recruiting -- a stated goal of Kiffin's.

Stars mean absolutely nothing...#1 class or #2 class doesn't matter as long as we sign the talent....Honestly, a #1 class is just a ranking and nothing more.

yeah but it would be in the Media "Lane Kiffin puts together #1 Class" with how much the ESPN guys are saying UT is back now this would just be another notch on Lane Kiffins belt. They would definitely talk about it, if only a little thats one more time Kiffin and Tennessee got its name out there.
