With FSU going 0-2 in the ACC and the Board of Trustee's saying enough is enough, which means Mr. Bowden is finally gone, do you think this narrows it down to us and UF?

Hmmm thats a good question. Won't Fisher be the head coach after Bowden leaves though?

If Luc ends up a Vol, either him or Taylor will have to switch positions. They both can't play MLB...

Taylor would be moved to the OLB in my opinion. But a lot of guys are forgetting we have some pretty good young prospects already waiting in the wings. Not to put a damper on anything. But competition is going to be crazy.

Even if Fisher is next in line, you would have to think that Mickey Andrews would go with Bowden (kind of like Chavis and Phil). I've never seen FSU give up so many big plays until this year. I think Andrews' time as DC is finally up too, he is just behind in the times now. That has to be a big concern for Luc. Seems to me like it is starting to look a little more positive from just the FSU situation alone.

Really the only thing that can make us the leader is if the UF DC leaves i think his name is strong and if the FSU DC leaves that will probably make us the leader.

How many people in here actually think Luc will leave the state of Florida?

Think about what's been said about his family and how he wants to stay close to them.
Think about his Haitian blood lines.

I just don't see it happening. I WISH it would. I made like 3 different cheers out of it on Saturday (not "rah rah" cheers, like "TO LUC!" then slam a beer). I get into it. But yeah, the more I think about it the more it doesn't look feasible.

When you have a struggling offense, there is little difference between 1st and 2nd string on the defense....there is so much rotating going on, that the 2nd string guy gets a bunch of snaps.

With an efficient, ball control offense, that's when there is more of a gap in playing time. Until we get this offense overhauled (ie, get a competent QB and playmaking WR's in the game), we need as much talent at all Defensive positions as we can get.

This is why I don't understand the Irvin de-commitment, unless the staff backed off or he wasn't going to be able to meet the extra SEC requirements (not sure about that...JUCO students transferring to 4yr colleges in CA have fairly high requirements). It doesn't matter if Miller and Willis committed, this staff would get him into the rotation or place him at OLB.

Seems to me that grades might be the issue with Irvin. That is unless the staff already has somebody on the hook.

The staff wanted him to be a rush DE and, coincidentally, allegedly "stopped contacting him" at almost the exact time we got a better DE prospect (Corey Miller). It would make plenty of sense to me if we simply view Miller as a better player at the same position.

Actualy the stories coming out of FSU is that Jimbo might be the issue down there. Apparantly the players do not get along with him and the latest rumor is that a physical altercation between Amato and Fisher while the plane was in the air took place on the way back from BC this weekend.

I do not see Luc going to FSU and I do agree that UF is where he will probably end up, but the situation at FSU I feel really helps UT chances if they actually have any they just went up.

I'll put $100 on Chuck the Chest.

Are you kidding? Thompson is extremely slow. He has not been playing good at all IMO. He makes a play here and there but watch him in the Auburn game again. He just cant get sideline to sideline like OLB's must. Very slow. The RB's for Auburn were getting to the corner with ease on him.

It's not like Rico was doing much better. Thompson is fast enough. I think he just may have gotten out of position.
