I hope it's either FSU or UT. I would be happy with either one!
I still believe its FSU...for Luc and Lattimore. JMO>>>>>>

Heres how I see it.

FSU - The favorite because of family ties mostly.
Miami - Not really a player, because of his past I see him avoiding the U totally.
Florida - #2 because of Charlie Strong and the defense he uses, which was tweaked into its current form by Monte.
UT - The reason he hasnt committed yet. If he is talking about scheme, someone is in his head and has anyone ever really heard HS kids talk this much about scheme? Monte has the wheels spinning and if he makes it in for Auburn and we win, lookout.

Best fit for him and what he wants, UT hands down. He will start day 1 here, the others can say it but it wont happen they are way too deep at LB. We have some good ones for the future, but nothing of his caliber. Florida has 2 in waiting that IMO are better than him.

I still think he goes to one of the two Florida schools but a good showing by the defense and a Win against Auburn with him in attendance could swing him north.

If the family thing is true, then we have another Scroggins situation. UT might make the most sense in the long run, but in the end family wins out.

Its not so much them pushing him there. They are really not involved at all, just they are fans of FSU mostly. This is not the typical recruitment at all. His brother does the talking for everyone pretty much and he could be the one pushing him some where, FSU.

His brother is a little too involved if you ask me and posts exclusively on FSU boards. Mom and Dad are clueless to whats going on apparently.

Jelani Jenkins is good. Wouldnt be scary if UF signed Hicks and Luc with Bostic, Jenkins, etc already there!

Honestly, even if they did sign with UF they would be underutilized. Monte is a much better at getting the most out of his players and is a much better D coord. than Strong.

Monte + less talent = Strong + all world talent

Florida is out of the picture if Strong leaves. It would then come down to FSU and UT.

Monte just might get this one.

Does anyone have any info on how often a recruit who *can* enroll early chooses to pass up early enrollment to drag the process out until signing day (or in Bryce Brown's case longer)? I don't foresee this, because he would only be able to participate next Fall and this is a guy that could see the field quickly, but just something I was thinking about.

I believe Luc has a leader in mind, and would pull the trigger but something has gotten to him to make him think. Whether that team is UT or UF, is still to be determined. If Luc doesn not show up at the Auburn game, then IMO we are out. We absolutely have to get him here for that game to have a shot IMO!

The notion that Strong will leave may have him wondering. It's common knowledge that Strong has interviewed for HC jobs and he is due to get one. Luc should consider that Strong could leave before he plays a down for Florida or he could leave in any following year. However, the same could be said for most coaches.

i think you can def say that monte is going to be there luc's entire college career. so if he's looking for stability at the DC position we have that

Strongs not going anywhere...Nobody wants to hire a coach with a chip on his shoulder like him playing the race card all the time...Nobody wants to deal with that stuff.

You need to keep up. No way Luc will know if Strong stays or goes by the time he enrolls.

I saw NYC talk about this the other day. He thinks there might be a scenario develop where Luc delays his decision until NSD to see what is going to happen with Strong and the coaching staff at FSU. IMO him delaying his decision might be the best case scenario for the Vols to land Luc...

And remember, Bryce Brown was supposed to be an EE last year, but he delayed his decision to look at other options...

I'm not trying to flame or anything but Tennessee isn't even in the picture. His family does NOT want him leaving the state and Luc doesn't want to leave the state. He is a Haitian and his family just feels comfortable in the state of Florida. There are just some kids that don't want to go far from home and Jeff Luc is certainly one of them.

That may be so but you're wrong if you believe there is no chance of him leaving the state. FSU might lose their entire staff and Florida might lose their defensive coordinator/linebacker coach. So, Luc will have no relationship to the incoming coach he will be playing under in either scenario. On the other hand, he has talked to Monte Kiffin and Monte Kiffin is without a doubt his best shot of going pro between those three schools if said coaches leave.

No offense dude, but if you honestly have that opinion then you haven't kept up with him much lately. Tennessee is a very big player for Luc. Not saying we get him, but don't be suprised when he visits us next week or another time. And the last statement cannot be proven. His parents want him in the state of Florida but he has never stated such.
