Tennessee Vols Recruiting - Mock Draft: Florida recruits

1. SIMMONS: Jeff Luc, LB, Treasure Coast -- "I picked Jeff Luc with my overall number one pick because he is a player that I can build my defense around. I believe football is won on the defensive side of the ball and he will sit right there in the middle of my 4-3 scheme, make the calls, deliver big-time hits, and play sideline to sideline. He has showed me that he can play the run and the pass, so I feel very good starting off my Florida team with Luc."

hes still in rod wilks nightmares.

But jeff is a must have for our team. I think if we put monte and gran on him we have a real good chance of landing him.

I just watched some Friday Night Lights video on this kid. He is a freaking monster, esp in coverage.

I think I just watched the same video you did...He is a monster and a game changer...He reminds me so much of a young Reggie White with his size and speed to the ball....He certainly is an imposing figure out there.

new article on rivals that says he and teammate Deon Rogers plan on going to college together...the article only quotes Rogers...I haven't read anything from Luc to substantiate this...

Rogers is committed to UGA, but says he is open to anywhere (not sure why he is committed then, lol)

"Right now, me and him are planning to go to college together," he said. "That would be a real important thing. I think we'll take three visits."

Rogers says the two will take official visits to Georgia, Florida State, and Ohio State. The other two are up in the air. As for offers, the 6-foot-3, 197-pounder says he is up to about dozen with the most recent ones coming from FSU and Ohio State.

I think he is trying to get Gator offer IMO. Luc probably gave him permission to do this. Port St. Lucie is Gator country maybe some Miami fans not many FSU fans in that area. Or LSU offer

Port St Lucie is Hurricane country...Yes some Gator fans but mostly Cane fans..It's only 50 miles from Miami...His mother will not allow him to attend Miami however...The city scares her and she doesn't want him in that type of enviroment.

That wouldn't be good. There isn't a bone in my body that wants our future qb to be stared down by Luc, Jenkins, and Bostic. Not a good thought.

I used to live in the area. It was about even split when I was there which was long time ago. I was a little kid. I would assume they gained more gator fans then Miami over the last 20 years. Either way there is a rare FSU fan in that area. I think the kid wants a gator offer or maybe LSU.
