Has Luc already decided that he'll commit to UF?

An article on RB Mack Brown's commitment to UF included this interesting nugget:

LUC(KY) GATORS?: Port St. Lucie Treasure Coast Jeff Luc, Rivals’ No. 1-ranked linebacker, was in attendance Friday night but didn’t want to say whether he was going to commit this weekend.

However, the 6-foot-1, 230-pounder added “Florida has nothing to worry about.”

I swear to god if Luc commits to them this week I will hang myself. Oh and nice avatar to the guy above me, its a shame shes in a Bama bikini. :cray:

I've heard that he's a silent commit to UF and is just playing the recruiting game. So, his commitment may not be announced this week. Keep your hangin' rope handy, though. If UF indeed lands everyone that I'm hearing they have already bagged you may feel like going through with it.

If somebody finds out that Luc has committed to UF this week, would you mind holding the news for a while?

I wouldn't be too surprised if he goes to UGA. But I think he will be a Gator...

No way I would. But ND isn't my dream job either. If I was at UF and UT offered me, I'd be gone because its my dream job.

Florida was Bob Stoops dream job and Michigan was Les Miles.

Everyone keeps saying CUM is going to ND. I don't think he will be leaving UF anytime soon either.

CUM would be sheer mad to leave UF with the program he has running, the camps, and the talent he is realing in this year and already working on for the next 3 years. UF is the mecca of college football right now :( :( :( :(

He would be crazy to leave florida, two deep at every position on D. and playmakers already coming in on O but as we all know in this world only one things talks and the other walks.

Seems like we got some ground to make up, hopefully he'll fall in love during his visit. If we have a solid D and win 8+ games I think we have a real shot. Beating UGA wouldnt hurt either.

I had an opportunity to talk to Luc and his brother on Saturday. While I think he ends up a Gator, I know that LSU & Tennessee are in the picture. He loves Tennessee's Defensive scheme. He personally told me he loves the way Monte showed him he would play in that Tampa 2 Defense. I know he likes LSU and their D scheme as well. He loves Coach Strong & CUM. I know that FSU is in the picture, at least he mentions them, he said he plans on attending an SEC school solely b/c of the defenses. GA is not in the picture. Either UF, LSU, UT should be final destination. He said he is committing before school starts, at least that is his plan for now. Oh and this kid is even bigger in real life. Just a beast of human being.

I get the feeling that even if he commits prior to the season, he'll still take his official visits. I don't think we'll have a solid read on which school he truly favors until he has seen the game day environment at a couple of stadiums. From all that I've seen, UT is realistically in this as long as he takes an official to Knoxville.

Yeah, I totally agree that he will take his visits. I know he has been to Florida on game day as well as FSU. He will take his visits and his decision might change during the season or on NSD. I'm just saying what he and his brother relayed to me. Everyone is still in it until NSD. His exact words to me were, "Florida has everyone. Why would they want me too? You're 2nd team could dominate most D1 schools." Also added, "It would be sweet to play alongside Jon Bostic & Jelani Jenkins." But he loves TN's & LSU's D scheme.

Luc has trimmed his list down to : FSU, Florida, LSU and UGA...Hope UT can somehow get in the battle for his services....I understand his first official visit is with Us.
