Yes it is true that he is in TTown for camp which seems to have surprised everyone including the staff. The list that was posted did not have him coming. Also though no one thinks we have a chance for him not to mention he has never really mentioned us in his consideration for schools. Would be a nice pick up but I don't think UT has any thing to worry about from us regarding Luc.

dude if you don't think hes somewhat interested you haven't been paying attention haha. I know you probably know this but if you only have five visits but offers from every major program in the country just about then to take one to us means we're at the moment in his top 7-5 (I'm guessing some of his visits will be taken to games where he's considering both teams).

i have some mild concerns for landing him. they may or may not pan out and i dont have the insight to put them to rest.

1) nobody knows yet if the Tampa 2 is going to work on the collegiate level. even if it does, will it work this year, with the current talent? EB and RM cant do everything. i think it will work, but i dont think Luc will see it at its best by NSD.

2) how many more years is CMK going to be calling the shots. its unlikely that Luc will red shirt, so lets just assume he doesnt. will CMK be there still by his Jr/Sr season? i say most likely, but there is no gaurantee. CMK's name alone is a huge recruiting pitch.

3) i know Luc will play on the opposite side of the ball, but not having a QB hurts the entire team. if he doesnt think that UT can win as much as Bama or any of the other powers after him, then we can forget about him, period. we need a QB.

these worries arent huge and i tend to think that 1 and 2 arent big factors. however, they exist none the less.

1- Tampa 2 > Mustang

2- CMK will see the Vols back to the top, or will go down with CLK if the ship sinks.

3- Scroggins tomorrow.

Why does Monte have to employ the Tampa 2? I guarantee you that he will only use it when he thinks it will be effective. Monte is a 4-3 guy...and can play a lot of different ways out of it.

Worked fairly well for Chizik at Auburn and Texas.

okay then, that settles that. TennTradition, i didnt think of that. that actually makes a lot more sense. as for working at Texas, im not sold, because in the B12, defense doesnt necessarily have to win you games.

as for scroggins, im not holding my breath. there is still a shot, but im not putting my hopes up anymore.

Nation's premier inside 'backer Jeff Luc names schools under consideration
Under Armour All-American Jeff Luc (Port. St. Lucie, Fla./Treasure Coast), who's holding scholarship offers from coast-to-coast, spoke with ESPN affiliate Web site EyeOnTheTigers.com about the current status of his recruitment.

"I'm still considering Florida, Florida State, Georgia and LSU. And maybe some other schools. I don't know. I just want to take my time."

Miami-FL, USC, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, Ole Miss, N.C. State, Nebraska, Rutgers, Arkansas, Clemson, Auburn, and Georgia Tech amongst others have also offered Luc.

As a junior, he posted 119 tackles, nine sacks, two interceptions, five forced fumbles and four pass breakups.
