With Bray being THAT impressive against the best of the best in the nation....our staff would be IDIOTS not to offer. Also, looks like you Huskies got yourselves a QB in the mold of his Dad....PLEASE smash Scroggins and the Trojans for us ( one of your guys may have to make a hit on him back near the bench though, cause thats as close to the field he will ever get there).

Ha, Nick Montana did seem impressive. I kept on reading consistency and accuracy in the reports.

Yeah, with Scrroggins off the shelf, Brays and maybe Grayson seems like your best chance for a solid QB this class. Best of luck with Brays.

I think Rivals had Bray as the 2nd or 3rd best QB at the Elite 11 and had Montana as the 9th best lol...

Taking a combination of Bray and Newton in the same class makes alot of sense going into 2010. It would have Stephens,Lamaison and Newton fighting for the starters job and also gives Bray a chance to learn and grow within the system. Missing out on Scroggins and Heaps might force Kiffin and crew into going harder after Newton.

go vols

The "college counselors" of the camp (in the above link) rated it Heaps, Brays, Whitmer, Montana, and Bolden.

I wasn't able to read all the rivals take, but Montana was consistent and accurate all 4 days (ESPN reports). The only one with same report was Heaps. I know Montana did well in the 2nd day as he finished 2nd for the gold gun contest, but he didn't do as well on the 3rd day. Rivals has yet to report the 4th day, so if Scout's final award is any indicator, Montana supposedly did pretty good on the 4th day.

hypothetically:

we offer, soon. we show a LOT of interest. is there any possibility this kid decommits from SDSU during the summer or early football season?

in regards to the scout article, how is it that Bray won the golden gun accuracy award, but chandler whitmer won most accuracy?

whats the difference

Notes from the Cali NUC:

NUC West Ultimate 100 Standouts: 2010 Class
PQB Tyler Bray, 6-6.5/190, Kingsburg (Calif.) High
ASSETS: Tremendous height, live arm and very good accuracy.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Bray is very thin at this time and needs to fill out and improve overall athletic ability.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE AT COMBINE: Had the best overall performance of any quarterback at an NUC event that I have covered this year. He was also awarded QB MVP.
CONCLUSION: His performance only cemented his place as one of the top quarterbacks in California in the class of 2010. Currently committed to San Diego State and I fully expect some BCS schools to try to change his mind.

Notes From the USC Rising Stars Camp:

Kingsburg (Calif.) quarterback Tyler Bray had probably the best and most consistent day of the quarterbacks. Tall and lean, going about 6-5, 175, Bray has good feet, throws a nice spiral with good zip and has good touch on his throws.

Camp Review: Tall and rail-thin, Bray still showed off a pretty strong arm, good zip and very good footwork. Is the top quarterback in Central California

there hasn't been any reports on day 4. So I guess Whitmer won day 4 by enough of a margin to overtake Bray. That or Whitmer was more impressive in the gerneral drills.

How funny would it be if Bray lights it up this season and USC goes after him, lands him, and then Scroggins comes crawling back?

"Spoke with Bray this afternoon.

Obviously very early for any heavy speculation but Bray told me that he did get a firm offer from Tennessee on Wednesday and that he is very open to given the Vols a look. He had spoken to Coach Orgeron this afternoon and planned to call Kiffin tonight to have a conversation."
