Guys JS is not coming here. To be honest it was pretty much over when USC went after him a few weeks ago. We were his fall-back plan IF USC hadnt went after him.
He delayed his decision from last week for two reasons. One was to have his own stage and not share it with his teammate; the other was to make absolutely sure what he wanted to do. We are a bridesmaid. Lane's comments the other day on the radio were not a smokescreen. We may not sign a HS QB in 2010. Of course if we get Newton and LaMan. I will be happy. Also, we may steal one from somebody else----Barry Brunetti maybe.

+1 me too

Good idea - for the both of you.

While you're at it, take a break from trolling our site to look up the following term at NCAA.org, "lack of institutional control".

As the NCAA has now combined both the men's basketball and football investigations, it'll be a term that you'll want to be familiar with. Oh, trust me, you're going to be familiar with it alright.....intimately.

If he does sign with USC, I hope that Scroggins appreciates your rich history, because once the NCAA is done with you, he'll feel as if he's been magically transported back to the USC of old from the 80's and 90's.

You know, the decades of your complete irrelevance for those members of humanity who aren't unfortunate enough to commute into downtown LA?

What he said....

Zing.

one thing I noticed at the presser was that Kiff stated something along the lines of QB position was not set yet..... That tells me he is selling something to someone... hopefully he is selling it to a really good Cali. QB recruit...

Here is what JS said:

"They can stay in check," Scroggins said. "If you are from [Southern] California and you stay here, your parents are there for you. You can stay focused because you have somebody to go to. That's one thing I really like about SC is that I could stay home."

Scroggins added that being "comfortable" was the most important factor in his decision.

Being comfortable is the most important part of his decision, this totally points to USC.

It seems to me like he really cares about going home and his high school friends.

Which I totally disagree with this philosophy in picking a college. I think its good for a kid to go away from home for college. You get to make new friends and meet new people (including women). If you stay near home you tend to hang out with your high school friends still. Also, its good to be far away from home where you can't just run home every weekend. This helps you grow up and become a man.

Finally, I think its a very strong possibility that JS won't ever play at USC. MB could start throughout his career at USC and they could recruit another five star QB next year and he immediately be ahead of JS on the depth chart. If JS doesn't play at USC he won't go to the NFL. Matt Cassell was a fluke, a one in a million shot.

The right decision for JS would be to come to UT, but he isn't going to do it. I don't think he has the courage to go that far from home.

i dont have any quarrels with you, trojanfan. i wouldnt call him a troll.

but i hope you do understand this situation. congrats on scroggins, USC has earned the right to be able to do stuff like this. it is just a small victory for you. he is nothing special for USC in the recent line of elite QB's. Just understand how much this sucks for UT fans, who dont have high school talent in the same galaxy as california. we have failed miserably with every QB we have seriously recruited so far. and we really have no idea where we will go from here.

enjoy getting scroggins, but i hope you understand that you dont deserve him. we deserve him. so love scroggins like we would have.

and nothing personal, but i wish that you could feel what this feels like. i suspect that USC fans rarely feel anything like this.

yeah i know. thats why i dreamed it. that quote is haunting me because the school he is going to pick gives out stacks of cash and expensive SoCal properties and the other school sends more players to jail than than to the nfl

but hes worried about how CLK committed the unholy atrocities of using smoke machines, having an assistant accidentally mention that he was excited about a recruit, and how could we forget, the capital offense of saying that BB was a great player. How dare CLK?!?! he's like hitler and stalin and mussolini and bin laden combined.

You forgot a name on that list... CUM!

Awwww snap!

Signs point to UT if what he says is true.

On Espn. Helper.
National Televised. Helper.
Recruits will see this. Helper.
Is qouted to have said I want to help recruit for my team. We are the only ones that need any type of help. USC and UF have rings for that.

He will be in orange come 330 tomorrow.

thank you! this whole website is gonna go into shock

It seems to me he would want to come here instead of USC. More than likely he would not play at USC until his JR. year or Soph.(if redshirted), here he would pretty much start as a Freshman. If it was you guys wouldn't you be more concerned with playing time instead of waiting 2-3 years?

That's the thing...Not everyone wants to start immediately. That isn't important. What's important is maturing at your position and earning the start.
Going in as a freshman and starting can be very traumatizing if it doesn't go well.

I seem to remember hearing him say before the USC offer(that he had to win) that it was too late for USC. He was big on us because Kifffin got on him early and offered. Why would he wait if USC is his choice, no drama no real reason for presser to announce the expected. Said he wants to help his team recruit, USC won't feel a ripple of help from his commitment, but Tenn on the other hand would explode (Ambles, Prater,Stone) hell, he could have a street named after him by his soph year in Knoxville. Probably USC! I'll admit from what everyone is saying it sounds that way,but why all the drama? Announcing on the first day of SEC media days moved up from the 25th, just seems fishy in a good way to me, jmo!!

:crossfingers:

No one will confirm it because they don't want to take away from his announcement, but I'm pretty sure it happened.

Pretty sures in life are not a good way to measure things...I am pretty sure Reagan was shot, I am pretty sure that its a girl, I am pretty sure I drove to work this morning....

BINGO :good!:

Great minds think alike.
thats exactly what I've been saying.

This is one of the worst dickteases of all time. It like when you go on the date in highschool with the hot virgin who is waiting till marriage. You know your chances are slim to none but you hold out that tiny sliver of hope that a miracle could happen just enough to where you convince yourself it will....only to be shut down.

Ugh...hope we land our prize tomorrow.

Has this been confirmed that JS told CLK that he is USC bound?

A reliable poster on TOS said that Scroggins called Kiffin and informed him that he will be going to USC. That info was posted here by someone, but it was covered up by page upon page of people saying they still have a feeling that he will be a Vol...
