having said all of that, i want to make it clear that i LOVE clk and what he has done so far, and i have never been this excited for the upcoming season to start (felt that way since he was hired). i've never followed this closely months before the season starts, so i love kiffin and think he can do great things....i'm just trying to be realistic about how dire the QB situation is. it was said that there was a significant drop off between scroggins and rettig, and i've seen the film of grayson, and i don't think it compared to that of scroggins. jmo.

Maybe the real hint on Scroggins not being serious all along is that UF was in his set. That must have just been a vacation or something.

is cam newton still a realistic possibility? if so, i'm fine with that. i just haven't really heard much of anything from or about him, aside from the intial reports a few months ago.

somethiing i find interesting...if you go to the wearesc forum, and do a search on scroggins...there is nowhere NEAR the activity about this young man. they don't care...don't seem to need him or want him as bad as our fans do. UT fans will chant his name next year, while USC fans will forget who the guy holding the clipboard is.

A poster on another board is reporting that Scroggins is a silent to USC and will announce at Elite 11 as planned. No visit to tennessee or florida.

well, that was better than the only other viddy i've seen on youtube, but when i saw that viddy of this last camp that scroggins was at (someone posted the link earlier) i was like DAYUM!!...i thought scroggins still seemed better. it's hard to say from highlight viddy's cuz they are "highlight" viddy's. and maybe grayson is gooder, i dunno. maybe this staff can make anyone an NFL caliber QB. thanks for the grayson viddy. hasn't he been quoted as saying that he would love to be a vol?

I don't understand why he wouldn't just announce with Bailey if he was a silent to USC. I understand he is not visiting, but if he is such friends with Bailey and they want to attend the same school, then why not do it together? I still think we have a chance dangit!!

I think Scroggins is better then Grayson but Grayson isn't a bad option either. Scroggins is closer to being ready to play SEC ball then Grayson is.

Yes Grayson has said that he wants to be a vol.

I think we are waiting on Scroggins...and still think we have a slight chance. I don't think we intend to sign more the LaMaison and another QB. Just a guess.

kiffins logic from the beginning was only getting the best, not offering just to have a warm body. if that's the case, then why would they offer anyone else if they don't get scroggins? i just don't understand why a quality QB would not see this as a prime opportunity.

We need sombody. we have zero depth at all. Bring in Grayson and another JUCO guy and we'll be fine.

well, i said something the other day, regarding clk's interview the other day that he remembers evaluating barkley in his freshman year in high school (while at usc). now, i don't know when usc actually offered him, but JS is just now getting an offer from them???
