Meyer isn't going anywhere. Finebaum is a moron.

ND is going to have a really good season this year and all will be forgotten.

Saban really screwed people's trust in coaches.

I dont give a damn about Finebaum. He is a moron and irrelevant to me.

People can believe whatever they want about Meyer. I went to college with him at UC. He will be the next coach at ND whenever Weis is gone.

Going to Florida would be a lot like USC. They would probably in all likelihood recruit over him in the next 1-2 classes plus who knows how long Meyer will be at UF. As soon as the ND job opens up he is gone.

to be honest, we will likely try and recruit over him next year as well and we will try to recruit over that guy the following year. our staff wants the best players and they have stated that they will do whatever it takes to get there.

i also believe meyer is here to stay. no reason for him to leave florida unless he feels it's not a challenge anymore. he will continue to have championship caliber teams every year and leaving just isn't the smart move right now.

But USC and Florida have a better shot than us for the time being. They are proven programs that haven't had a down year in a while.

Yes they will always try to improve the QB situation. However based on past / recent history it has been much much much easier for both Florida and USC to recruit over players and land elite caliber QB's than it has been for Tennessee. I'm not saying if he goes to Tennessee he is a sure fire starter, I'm saying his chances of being one are a lot better.

There is a little interesting tidbit on Meyer meeting with a ND booster for dinner the same day he came out and said he would never go to Notre Dame.Check out tonybasilio.com.

thinking about brunetti and him fitting into our "pro-style" system, does anyone else find it interesting that cutcliffe offered him to come to duke?

Approximately 220 hours til Scroggins announces he is a Vol. 5:30 ET and 3:30 PT should be pretty close.

I didn't realize that. Thanks for the information. I'm not surprised at all. ND has and always will be his dream job. When it opens he'll take it without hesitation.

The adjustment from being a spread QB to a pro-style QB is not nearly as big an adjustment as some people are making it out to be. There is a learning curve but it's a rather easy transition for most QB's.

No for the aspirations at Duke Brunetti is like landing a Scroggins. It is a huge deal for their program. Not as much for ours.

people at the event are saying scroggins is pushing his announcement back to the elite 11 camp next week now and that bailey may or may not announce today.

i'm not giving up on scroggins...i think its a positive that he is not commiting today. i was just thinking about the other options if they do go after him (brunetti). and i also wonder...what is the difference between a 4* pro-style QB and a 4* dual threat qb. does it mean that the pro-style qb is a 4* passer, and the dual threat guy is a good combo of running and passing to equal a 4* rating, or could he be a 4* passer who can also run, which would actually make a 4* dual threat the better choice, right? i hope that made sense...the thoughts were clear in my head
however, i don't hold alot of stock in the star system anyway...bradford was a 3* qb and crompton was a 4*

I don't think he's pushing anything "back"....as far as I can tell, it's been the 25th for a while.

It is common sense for the Athletic Department to put that out there but the NCAA will never do anything about it. If they did then every major college program in the country would be in trouble.

Go to any prospects Facebook or Myspace page and there are fans from EVERY major college program begging them to go to their favorite school.

True. It's ridiculous. There is no way that they would expect every college fan to no the rules of recruiting, and why would we anyway? I see it as no big deal in this case.

he had actually been telling some people that he might announce today. that's per Crabtree at Rivals, so no news today seems to be good news for us.

Guys, be calm...
You guys are stressing over nothing. Ill put it like this.
They WANT to make it interesting...and Ill leave it at that.
