He's still set to announce on the 25th at an event that will be highly publicized. It could be a great day for UT's recruiting efforts, as it would give the coaches a boost with other offensive skill position players.

It could also be a good day for us here at Volnation, because if he does choose UT it should finally put an end to nearly all references to Taj Boyd.

At this point, the public quotes seem to show that Jesse has not made a choice yet. His father is also quoted as saying that the family will support his decision regardless of which college he chooses (which is huge since his dad is a USC fan). It has also been mentioned that the family and coach will sit down with Jesse to discuss the positives and negatives of each school prior to his decision (which could be good for UT if they have an honest evaluation of all three situations).

That sums up what I've seen in the thread in the last 5 pages or so...

This thread reminds me of a chow line. You get a morsel here and there to get you through for a little bit, then reality sets back in soon after. It would be really amazing if Jesse comes here, but even Jesse has distance as a factor.

Jesse's Father.....
He said that distance from home is not an issue for him, but thinks Jesse may be have it as an issue so that his family will get to see him more.

So if Jesse hasn't made a decision or hasn't talked about it with his father, I don't see where that quote could come from unless they are farther along than his dad is letting on. We'll just have to wait.

I've gone from thinking he was a UT lean to toss-up to heavy USC lean....now I'm back to slight USC lean/toss-up after the most recent info. If he was announcing today, I'd say all USC, but with another 9 days and the quotes suggesting his family will support any decision he makes (unlike the rumors his dad was pushing USC) I feel a like UT still has a decent chance.

I will say it's nice for UT to be back in position to seriously challenge USC and UF for a top QB prospect, and I have to admit that it's impressive for the coaches to be in the running without the prospect seeing a single down of their new product on the field.

If his partner does in fact commit today then it is a very good sign IMO that at least JS has not made a final decision. Hopefully if he does commit it will be ND hurting USC's draw a little.

at least its just a couple more days till he announces these up and down emotions really make for a crappy day at the office i'm just ready for this to be over

I know we are all against annoying Jesse on Myspace, but I think he has to read what Sab wrote. It definitely hit a soft spot in my heart. Whoever has him as a friend should send it to him so he can read it. In the interview he said he hated how people tried to persuade him by bashing other schools. Sab doesn't bash other schools. He only told him what he felt from his heart and what a lot of us feel as well. So I propose for someone sending Sab's message to him on Myspace, but I know most of you will disagree with me.

If anyone is really friends with him that would be cool. Maybe the guy that goes to school with him could show it to him. Or maybe that guy could get Jesse on here and read his thread :)
