I don't know why some people are freaking out about a recruit talking to a coach. They talk to coaches all of the time. Who cares what time it is? He's 17 and will be a SR in HS. He's not 40 years old.
Maybe Meyer wanted to talk to him tonight and this was the only time he could talk? You think he's going to be a dick and not talk to the guy? Answer: no
It's kind of comical, every little snippet of info sends someone into a caniption... Ha, I just said caniption?
I know what's going on here. There's no freaking out by me at all. There is business being done and that's what's happening. Trying to dismiss that is very naive, IMO. If he was calling to talk with Scott Loeffler, I probably wouldn't be as concerned, but it would still peak my interest.
Eric, I didn't point that directly at you. It was just a general statement. You may very well be right about 'business' being done. We'll know soon enough. I really don't see this lasting till late July. I think it breaks in the next week.. IMO... I think he's a VOL in the end..

You may have been saying that, but your assertion that he's not that interested in Florida just isn't true according to what I have read in recent articles.
When did I ever say he has no interest in Florida? I never said that. I said they aren't a serious competitor for his services. I don't get why you're all riled up anyway, according to you he is committing to USC.
Oh my dog. You are still going with this "buisness" angle? What kind of business could be going on I ask you again? Every time a recruit talks to a head coach now they have to be conducting "business"? You really need to read Meat Market, Eric. These "meetings" take place ALL THE TIME and don't mean anything other than the guy is being recruited.
Why would it be a surprise that Urban is choosing to recruit Jesse himself? Kiffin is doing the same with Scroggins. He is recruiting him personally.
The mere fact that I have to explain this to you is baffling to me.
No, no, no...in recruiting you always think about the worst possible scenario and then make a bunch of statements to back it up even if there are other scenarios that make just as much if not more sense.![]()
I thought you two already agreed to disagree. Sab and Eric that is.
