He's not going to eliminate anyone until right before he makes a decision. I don't think a decision is coming this week.

I could see it happening fast now. He's exhausted the schools he likes and I don't think he takes a month for him to decide. I think he does it before July 10th at the latest.

If they had planned on speaking tonight and that was the time Scroggins was going to be available, why wait until morning? Maybe Jesse has things going on tomorrow and tonight was the best time.

I don't know why you guys are reading anything into this. It means nothing.

I can think of a couple of times that recruits have called coaches in the middle of the night, and it's not to talk about life.

Keep in mind- Jesses a 17 year old kid who is on summer break from school. 10 o'clock to him is probably like 6 or 7 for the average adult.

Exhausted the schools that he likes?? Huh? You mean like physically exhausted? These coaches go a mile a minute on the recruiting trail. They don't get "exhausted."

It could come soon, but Jesse has already indicated that he is not going to make a quick decision so I see nothing to indicate that a decision is coming soon.

It's not the middle of the night for him as has already been stated. Geez, dude. It's not that hard to understand. Timezones, brother.

10pm is pretty late. Some recruits do interviews, I understand that, but talking to coaches is something else. If Florida is in his Top 3, I don't see how this couldn't be perceived as something that could be important. I don't think that they are going to have conversations about Jesse's Girl. :)

I meant that he has already went to his Top 3 schools in a matter of less than 2 weeks. He's seen all that he needs to see. If he takes officials, it's for the free trip.

Talking to a coach at 10pm makes a whole helluva lot more sense than doing an interview at that time. The dude isn't in school. It's summer. He was probably busy all day and this was the first chance he got to talk and Urban wanted to talk with him tonight. You guys are freaking out over nothing.

Not sure. I'd say within 2 or 3 weeks. The longer it goes, the more it favors us TBH. I think he is taking his time and making a calculated decision.

Then again, if he has allready made up his mind (as some suggest) he has to know that a commitment to us would give an instant boost to our offensive recruiting. In that scenario the longer it goes might not be such a good thing for us.

As far as the late night phone call goes, I agree with you Sab... Not a big deal IMO..

If you say so. Talking to a coach that he, according to you doesn't have any interest in, is pretty big IMO.

Urban doesn't really need a QB, he's recruiting Scroggins AWAY from UT. He knows we need a QB more than anything. This is just one more way to keep his foot on our throat. Riddle me this. Of all the QB's in this class he has not recruited Heaps or any other top QB until he decides all of a sudden t recruit Scroggins. Why? Because he realizes our future and our rebuilding and CLK future as a coach in the near term lies with this recruit. I think that's how bad he wants to beat Kiffin and embarrass him by taking a recruit that CLK wants bad.

If Urbie is the a$$ most say he is. I think there would be a lot of truth in this. Not to mention if he did pull it off, he gets a good QB to boot...

Why? Recruits talk with coaches of schools they are not going to attend all the time. Why would that be big in any way?

So, what are they talking about then?? You don't seem concerned, but I am for the simple fact that I have seen his interest in Florida in a couple of different articles, including the one Brent did. He likes what Urban did with Leak, and that's real.
