I hope he gets this done tomorrow. If Scroggins is a silent to us still not good enough if he wants to come to UT he needs to say so. If he is really still deciding then good for him we must get our class together. Keep in touch with him recruiting him etc but if depth is not an issue he should not be afraid of Rettig and Newton. Newton can help us in recruiting in similar ways as could Scroggins. Scroggins is a better prospect as a QB cuz he has four years and plays Pro-style. It does not matter. Newton may just come here not beat out Lamaison and Rettig and be a TE/WR. For the now he makes OL/WR recruits feel like there is a named QB here.

Regardless of where Bailey goes, he really impresses me with his demeanor. Seems like a great kid.

(But I hope he comes to UT)

If he's a man of his word the comments he made about going to a LSU game and also an Oregon game that puts his commitment in august or sept.

I would think the Oregon and LSU games are just for fun - but the fact that he wants to take an official to the top 3 (FLA/UT/USC) may mean he would wait but who knows. If not - and we do get a commit - then it will still be a battle to keep him.

I hope we get them both. But he seem very high on being close to home. Who know's....... It's probably smoke and mirrors for all I know. i just wish we could land a good name so we could fill other key positions on offense.

I agree with what Jewbacca said earlier. He probably already knows, he's just playing the game right now. He's already taken all of his serious visits. After kids take all the visits they need, which he has, i'm a firm believer that they've already decided in their mind, it's just a matter of talking it over with their coach, parents, etc and just playing the recruiting game.

I have been away from the forum for a couple of days and boy howdy there is some stress in the air. I still feel good about our chances. Scroggins becomes the King of Vols.

Scroggins is meeting with Urban Meyer tonight. Don't ask me details, cause I don't have them.

All i know is, he is meeting with Urban Meyer tonight. I don't know it is via phone, in person, or w.e. As i said i don't have details but this is straight from Scroggins.

There were never any rumors that he committed. Just rumors that he wanted to but didn't.

He will commit well before then. That's just indicating that he will still take official visits in the fall.
