As Larry has pointed out, Lamaison is doing work to get here. He is taking an English class in order to qualify for the SEC. He should be in Knoxville after that, according to Larry.

If he commits to USC, then they are the best recruiters in the history of the world. It makes no sense to follow Barkley there.

O yeah. Barkley will be starting by the end of this year, unless Corp comes out killin it. I bet Mustain wishes he came here now. haha.

I don't think it would be the end of the world if we just got Rettig and Lamaison. Chaney has a thing for Rettig, and i trust his judgement.

As long as we get depth at QB I think we will be fine. Just because we don't get a top ranked QB doesn't mean we will suck. McCoy and Bradford were both 3*'s.

im sticking with the idea that this rumor is nothing more than the scroggins committing here rumor and going to bed and hopin i wake up to good news

Obviously everyone on here wants Scroggins, including myself. However, you do have a good point. I have watched videos of Rettig and he is impressive and Chaney likes him. He apparently did well at the UT camp and others. I think the reason some are just not sold on him is the fact he has no offers. I admit that is strange. I realize his junior campaign wasn't great, but zero offers is hard to believe.

Exactly. Just because we are thin, doesn't mean we can't have good QB play with the coaches we have in here. They may have other options that have presented themselves that we don't know about yet.

Let's say Scroggins does go elsewhere, and we offered Rettig. I guarantee other schools will offer. But it will probably be too late.

I know some of you don't want to hear it, but missing on Scroggins would drop this class from a potential top 5 class to outside of the top 10. At least that big of an impact. Kiffin and co are going to have to pull every trick they know to get some offensive players to commit here.

Exactly,big time recruits aren't going to follow Nick Lamaison or Cam Newton here.

If we do well on offense this season, the QB situation is far from over then. Plus, let's see who comes out of the woodwork during their senior year's. Even if we don't land a QB, I think we will still land big time offensive recruits if we perform well.

As long as we get OL and maybe a top WR we will be alright on offense. We don't really need anything else. We are stacked at RB, we lose 2 WR's, and 1 TE. As long as we load up on OL and D players we should be alright and have a top 10 class.
