Which school will Scroggins verbally commit to tomorrow?

Hi gang. I have been reading the posts for months now and enjoy everyones opinions. I made my first post the other day and got some interesting responses to my question. I dont want to repeat the question that I have already asked, however I would like to know what everyone thinks. I asked what CLK would do if we were not fortunate enough to have either Scroggins or Hendrix sign with us. Well, Hendrix is going to Notre Dame, so what will CLK do if Scroggins becomes a Trojan? By the way thanks for all that post I really appreciate the discussions. thx

Ok i will go with that. In fact Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. so i will just go for the vision of scroggins comming to k town. Gives the ball to Brown no what a fake throws to the flats where Oku takes it at the 45 jukes his way to the 50 gets a block turns it outside he;s at the 45 40 35 30 breakes inside 25 20 15 10 54321 give him 6 touchdown tennessee and that should do it with 10 secounds left. the crowd has gone wild

If it were me I would try to get three or four lesser qb's and hope for a sleeper. There just arent any proven superstars in this crop of qb's. (other than Blake Bell)

Waisted Schollies. Just take two and look to 11' Lamaison is one so the other can be Rettig or Newton or other unknown. This assumes we do not get Scroggins.

Newton is looking better as this plays out. How i wouldnt mind it playing out, if we dont sign JS, is we sign Newton. He plays that year, and we sign one of the studs QBs coming in the 11 class. If the 11 stud needs time, he has a year to redshirt while newton plays out his eligability.

You have a point about getting a big 2011 qb, but I would still get several from this class. Im not suggesting that we just burn scholarships on really questionable players. With the situation that we will be in next year with only Nick Stephens returning, I believe we have no choice but to take a chance on some of the lesser qb's. Just my thought on it. There are several qb's that have not received scholarship offers from Tennessee that have us listed as one of the top schools that they are interested in (Ed Sullivan, Munchie etc.) Just my opinion

2 is enough that is a 3 man competition in 10'. You can only look at so many in practice with first string. 3 QBs is the max in my mind. I hope only 2 get one big one in 11' I can see 3 with Newton cuz he is a TE/WR anyways if he fails.

So with Scroggins getting the offer should we panic more or be confident that he is coming here?Because I am on the confident side,I am just wondering what you guys think.

My feelings are that our situation is probably more ideal for him, but turning down USC is going to be really, really hard for him, and I understand that.

Lamaison is an '09 prospect. I think we take two in '10 with or without Lamaison this year. Without Scroggins, I could easily see it being Rettig and Newton. I would say Rettig for sure and Newton if he performs well this season.

I think this is about right for the back up Scroggins plan. Lamaison is in it either way.

If we get him or not, it's better for him to announce now rather than later. Lamaison can go ahead and announce whenever, and Rettig will get an offer and we have depth. for next year. I hope this isn't true, but if not it's not the end of the world.

I read an article where the father hinted that a trip to Florida, for maybe a flag tournament, drained the families finances. That may factor in too.
