How did he do at the SC camp? I assume he did well.

Like a guy who was not hurt. Like a guy who was resting up to make sure he did well and got his offer. Unless he told Kiffin this was part of the plan this is not good at all for our chances. We will find out for sure with in the next month.

By the way he looked VERY intent on doing well at the camp, I would disagree with your uncle's assertion.

Fair enough. I wasn't surprised when he told me this, because of all the insiders that have been saying this for weeks on Volquest, but if it is true, why would Scroggins not want to go public with this yet? It just doesn't make any sense to me at all. I hope that he makes the decision to be a Vol soon.

I dont know what to think! There are things pointing to him coming here and things pointing at him going to SC. Come on jesse commit here and fast!

This is cracking me up...

I love following recruiting and I want this guy to come here really bad...

But some of you all are analyzing his every move and obviously getting upset/excited by things that probably don't have any meaning...

Everyone needs to relax...his decision will not make us or break us

The world is watching. It's either the trojans the gators or the Big Orange . how can you not get excited?

You'll find as you get deeper into your reporting that prospects confirm and deny that they do and don't have offers all the time. There was a big deal made about that article because it shouldn't have been published in the first place, so then they had to deny it even happened pretty much. It happens frequently, and it's frustrating to those who are following it.

Just as frequently, if not more so, the recruiting services (which Rivals as the most respected IMO never even said he had an offer) get it wrong. There's no reason to believe that Scroggins had an offer prior to earning one at the Rising Stars camp. Did Scroggins already factor a USC offer into his thinking and has for some time when considering what school he would attend? That is very likely. And one reason that I think the USC offer is going to have little effect on his decision.

When do you expect him to commit to USC now, Eric?
You have eaten a lot of crow in the past in situations like this.

Scroggins = Vol.

Man Sab I wish I could have your confidence with Scroggins. Something just tells me that he is all Trojan. I could be wrong which I am a lot, just ask my wife.:)

When he announces. He hasn't set a "date", but he has said that he wants to do it in late July. I don't think that UT really wants to wait that long, but USC can with who they have on their roster. We will see.

BTW Sab, don't you find it strange that an injury that takes sometimes up to 6 weeks of rest to heal in severe cases all of a sudden goes away and he is able to do an entire camp?? That is certainly an interesting situation.

Oh I'm excited...

I want him here...

But people are discussing why a 17 year old held back here and went all out at USC...and some are citing that as proof that he's definitely going to USC...

Trying to read into the actions of a 17 year old top notch recruit is like trying to cut a steak with a spoon...extremely difficult and basicaly pointless

Oh well...to each their own...c'mon Jesse..make the right choice...

Come here...play immediately...go down as the QB that turned us aorund and led us back to prominence!!!

Or...go to USC...ride the pine behind Corp and Barkley until you decide to transfer...

The choice is yours young man

i cant blame him for that. he didnt have to prove anything while at the UT camp. the big question, to me, is whether he wants a USC offer to prove something or because he wants to go there. his situation is like being offered to either own a own a Challenger R/T outright or sharing a Lambo with 2 guys you dont even know. i guess you could throw in a Porsche that some sleazy @ss crook is trying to sell you, if you want to count Florida. i might add that the Challenger is competition orange.:cool2:

The kool-aid is strong in this one. :)

Sab gets it...Scroggins has known USC was going to offer..maybe not 100% but 99.9% sure. This has been in his thought process all along. IF USC didnt have Barkley and Corp I would be more worried. They do and we don't. I expect a decision to be announced soon.. he started saying late july when people starting talking about him being committed already. He doesn't wait that long unless him and Dion plan on announcing together and he wants him to see knox first.

as for him being healed.. i never saw anyone say he was healed and 100%....he impressed people a ton here at camp and wasnt 100%
