Espn said he was the most gifted QB at the camp. But also take into consideration that he was the only and obvious stand out in the group of Qbs.

Quick release and patients, Does force it and gets it the target in a hurry. Makes second chances and better oportunites. Also doesent impress in his body build. But his arm strength is what they were raving about. - Per ESPN. No credit taken.

But what I want to know is if he has good pocket presents.

On the hernia exam portion? Hope his hands weren't too cold.

Like my daddy always said. He needs to "poop or get off the pot". Make a decision so we can all move on in one direction or another.

USC doesn't even have to have a QB in the class. If he is who they want, they can wait until he is ready MUCH easier than we can. Our staff needs a QB and a high rated QB right now. We are having issues getting offensive kids to make a move. USC can wait until signing day if they want to adn it won't cost them anyone. jmo

So can Florida.

Here's the thing. If USC really wants Scroggins I think that they could wrangle him away from us (close to home, excellent record of producing NFL quarterbacks, and they are USC) I don't think however, that Florida is near the threat. Herby Meyer has said that he wants to change to a pro style offense. Yeah right. He is just trying to pull in qb recruits. IMHO:yes:

If you have a kid that doesnt care about competition and depth charts, how in the hell can you expect him to choose UT over USC? It dont look good from here.

I agree that if he's actually telling recruits that then it's a dogged-ass lie...

He's going to go completely away from an offense that has become his staple...something that he is specifically known for?

Yeah right...just like he recruited Tebow to play LB

His coach said he shouldn't do any interviews tonight. Hopefully i'll interview him in the next few days and get a feel as to where he's at.

Bruce Feldman quotes him in his blog. Was that before or after the coach told him to zip it?

I keep hearing people say that, but what did Meyer actually say? Just that he would incorporate more pro-style into his spread? Because that might actually be true.

The only way Meyer, the narcissist that he is, goes to a pro-style O is if he's auditioning for the NFL... He would change absolutely NOTHING to benefit a kid if he thought it would hurt him in any way. The guy has a serious love affair going on with himself... anyone who gets in the way will get stomped.

From ESPN

On the first day of USC's Rising Stars Camp, several versatile prospects along the defensive line were the talk of the event - ESPN

Quarterback
The Trojan coaches recently made it known to their top QB prospects that they wanted to view them in person at RSC with the hopes of making a decision on which player to offer. Jesse Scroggins(Lakewood, Calif./Lakewood), who has seen his stock rise as much as any player in the state this spring, was known to be a top candidate for the offer. Others prospects under consideration, Pete Thomas (El Cajon, Calif./Valhalla; committed to Arizona State) and Brett Nottingham (Danville, Calif./Monte Vista; committed to UCLA), recently gave verbal commitments to other Pac-10 schools, and were not in attendance. This left Scroggins, who has already been named to the Under Armour All-American Game, as the headlining act the camp at the QB spot, and he came through with a nice, steady performance. Scroggins simply looks in control while playing the position; he is pretty smooth in everything he does. He has a strong enough arm to make the necessary throws, and when he breaks the pocket, there is a sense that good things are going to happen. While watching him on the field, it was easy to compare him to former USC signal-caller Rodney Peete. Scroggins should know fairly soon if he will add an offer from the Trojans to offers from his other two favorites, Florida and Tennessee. A couple other players who impressed at QB were Chase Rettig (Sierra Madre, Calif./San Clemente) and Tyler Bray (Kingsburg, Calif./Kingsburg). Bray has an offer from Fresno State, and he is a tall thrower who can get the ball downfield. One sleeper to watch could be Kent London (Milpitas, Calif./Milpitas).

Interesting that they don't have him having an offer yet...

Also, got a nice word about Rettig performing well.

Funny thing is that he didn't work out much here when he came, but yet it looks like he did MUCH more at USC. Kinda telling, IMO.

I was just going to pose this question...

how is it that he can't workout for Florida and barley throws for UT, but he can go full out for USC only a couple of days later.

Folks, that isn't a good sign.
