I dont think Pete is a douche bag, he seems like a high quality dude who has very close ties to Lane and Monte. Earlier this year he paid Monte to come on campus and talk defense with his staff...I dont think he would ruin a good thing to pick up a QB that would most likely never see pt at his school due to a solid roster of QBs.

Not yet.. I beleive they wrap up camp tomorrow..

but from a couple reports Scroggins blew everyone else out of the water today..

So more than likely.. He also said he would announce his decision at the Elite 11 camp in late july

i feel a bit jittery, as many, about Scroggins' choice of school. i had thought, thought, that he had planned to anounce in July, in the first place. am i wrong?

you're right but i think it was more of an early July...he always said he would announce before his senior year started. it could have ultimately been up to then. It's nice to know he has a specific date set.

Come one now, if he was never told he had an offer, he didn't have an offer. Even if you can read Carroll's mind and knew the offer was coming or just assumed it.

I really hope it does not effect his decision to come here. If he had the offer all the time then it should not have been a big deal to go there and earn one since you guys are saying he just had to go through the motions. That must mean he really is thinking about usc.

It's good news that he didn't commit on the spot though. The longer he waits, the better it is for Tennessee because USC won't wait long.
