Ok, so much of our future after this fall seems to ride heavily on us getting a top level QB for 2010 and beyond. Scoggins is the best uncommitted guy left. But there are a lot of schools after him. If we don't get him, are we up a creek?

We won't be completely up the creek. There are still a few solid prospects out there, but Scroggins is the best we can do right now.

I do know that Chris (Walker), Bryce Brown, Jesse and another recruit went to lunch together. Chris said that Jesse "talked a lot about his experience at Florida" but said that it was hard to tell what he was thinking about UT.

CLK has sent his 2 best recruiters after Scroggins. Walker was Bryce's host when he first came to the UT campus. And BB was, well he was the top player in the country last year and will be lining up for 3 years behind Jesse...

I wouldn't read too much into him talking about his Florida experience. Kid's just gotten to town and is having lunch with last year's #1 recruit and an integral part of our defense next year. Probably just small talk trying to fit in. After all, what do you talk about on your first day in town with people you're just getting to know when you're from across the country?
