I personally think UW has their QB in Montana and that is all they are going to take.

I think Brunetti pulls the trigger by the end of June and will be a Vol.

I think Scroggins commits to UT during his visit.

By July UT will have its two QBs and might add another one via JUCO. From there it will be time to pull in the OL and WR.

It is going to be a great summer.

Kiffin was working mainly with TE and WR. You may be right that he did work with the QBs, but he is certainly not known at all for it. In matter of fact, I didn't even realize he was a former QB until today.

At Purdue, I thought Chaney worked with the TE and O Line. Again, if Chaney had any involvement with the creation of Brees, I honestly believe it's minimal at best.

The QB coach is the QB coach for a reason. He almost exclusively coaches the QB. lol.

And yes, Tenn does has QB tradition, but it's a little inaccurate to say that QB tradition=success because so much depends on the current staff.

There is so much wrong with this post it's impossible to address it all.

The QB coach almost never exclusively coaches the QBs. There are very few OCs who don't put their stamp on that position and at least assist with the QB coaching. It was no different at Purdue - which is why Chaney continually gets credit for churning out Brees even on his profile on the Purdue site.

Regardless if they were not working exclusively with the QB with mechanics, footwork, etc, the OC has a very important role in guiding the QB. There is no doubt that they have a close relationship with them. Lane and Chaney worked with Sanchez, Brees, Orton, Cassel, Leinhart, Booty, Palmer. They wooked with them close enough to evaluate talent and to develop the talent. It can only be a plus for us and for our future QBs.

Scroggins said in the article from Rivals yesterday that he has known Sarkisian for three years. They have been close for a while now. It's amazing how early you have to jump on these kids and keep with them for so many years. We are really behind in the relationship department, but somehow we have done exceedingly well in catching up to a large degree. I have high hopes for this season in recruiting, but 2011 should be something special.

USC- 4th string, may never see the field
Florida- nuff said, who wants to succeed what Tebow did?
LSU- Jefferson, and Miles who is so known for producing QBs
UT- 4 year starter and coached by KIFF, a former QB, and will recieve help from Manning, and has family in the area. NO BRAINER GUYS
It looks a little different to a young man when he isn't always wearing orange shades.

That's interesting. If he is that lovey-dovey with Sark, he may just as well go to Washington and try to compete against Montana every year for the next 4 years.

Someone who enrolls a semester early. They enroll in school in the jan semester. They count towards the last years class. This is becoming increasingly popular.

Wow, Matt. Your eyes giving you trouble today? He was asking if Scroggins was a January enrollee. Which I think he is working towards.

Montana is not a top 3 QB on the West Coast. He seems to actually not be very good at all and is living off his last name. Hinder is a little overrated, but is a top 10 QB, has a huge upside, and might be the 3rd best QB in the west...

But then again, Nottingham and Hirschman dominated Hinder and Montana in Berkeley a couple weeks ago...

Maybe this has already been discussed, but if Scroggins says that he isn't worried about fighting for a starting position, why would Montana committing to UW drastically change everything?

If it were me and I was a D1 QB prospect, playing in Washington wouldnt bother me...but going to Washington and then not playing would.

I would take the chance that I might possibly end up behind another person on the depth chart at an elite school or one that has enjoyed recent success...but no way do I take that chance at a school that is second tier.

...but thats just me.

I'm gonna be honest. If a second tier program throws me an offer, I'm prolly gonna take it. I don't know what they are looking for at QB. But if they want a tall, dark, handsome, 21 year old, awesome-golfer to take some snaps- I'm game...

talked to the friend tonight and he said hes going to talk to him tomorrow about it. says more and more offers keep coming to him though. Lets see how he does his senior year though. With his offensive line graduating he might be more prone to injury, especially since he isnt the typical running qb. He still has his number 1 reciever and one of the best running backs in socal to throw too though.

LOL, I am so glad that you don't take yourself seriously and ou are not full of yourself.:)

Enjoy being young while you can and live life to the fullest with your family and friends.

There is no way I would go and beat Joe Montana's son out of a job. The fans will always want Montana. If the most popular player on a struggling team is the back up QB then imagine how much more it would be if he was named Montana. If you sign and recruit Nick Montana you have to play him.

Thanks again for the info. If you can, find out what he thinks about going somewhere that is taking another QB in this class. For example, if Barry Brunetti out of Memphis or another QB commits to UT, would he still come knowing there would be competition? Thanks.

i very much doubt montana would have committed if UW said they were taking another qb. the guy wants to be the man, not compete for hte position.
