Don't forget OhioVol! He was the one that painted the rock in the wee hours of the day Scroggins showed up on campus. original credit goes to Orange Swarm but a sorority girl messed it up with some bday greeting. Thanks swarm and OhioVol!!!

I thought that Orange Swarm painted it after it was covered up by the sorority gals....

Many thanks to OhioVol for the original idea and to Orange Swarm for making sure Jesse had a chance to see it....now let's hope it fully pays off :)

Anderson has good size (6'5) and claims a 4.5 forty. Highlight video below.

<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7zS6l8q11Y0&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7zS6l8q11Y0&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

If Scroggins' top three are indeed UF, USC and UT, it seems logical to me that he would commit to UT (probably very soon), where he would have the best shot at being the starting QB, potentially as a true freshman. Seems like a good fit. I sense that he'll end up a Vol.

Good luck!

If this is that kid's highlight reel, then I can understand why we haven't offered and probably won't. Has the size but does not look like he can run a 4.5 and had trouble breaking tackles. Doesn't appear too athletic and most of his catches were easy comeback cuts where he was wide open.

I'm confused by your avatar + name + post

He looks slow but he's not. He has deceptive speed because of his long strides. He's the BIG WR that Kiffin needs. He's not going to be a burner, but a very good possession receiver wherever he goes.

Yeah, like I just said he's not going to be a burner like Harvin or Meachem, but will be a pretty good possession WR.

Possible redzone weapon?

He don't even look slow, don't look at his stride look how he leaves the other guys in the dust

Also, very good hands

Edit: Reminds me a bit of Bret Smith

Everything in that article was slanted the Vols way. But those are the quotes he gave and they are the best I have seen him give any school up to this point.

The YET comment was great. And the comment about how he will probably commit next week and the process is almost over.

Reading this and reading between the lines I would say UT has its QB!
You know, it just dawned on me...Kiffin's early comments about "why" he told 5*QB Boyd to look elsewhere. Everyone said over and over it was because he "Didn't fit the system." Well CLK's own words were that he didn't want to recruit a player whom WOULD GET BEAT OUT by the next class of QB's. Who is that "next class?" Scroggins, of course.

I'm sure that was one of the key selling points CLK made. Something to the effect of:
"Look, Jesse...my man, the whole reason our depth chart is looking so depleted right now is because I've been holding out for a QB like YOU. We wanted to make sure we had a guy that's not only capable of being a good player, but one who has 1st Rd NFL capability. You're it, Jesse!" :good!:

I'm about 99.9% sure Kiffin didn't tell Boyd to look elsewhere because he was holding out for Scroggins. One of the dumber posts I've read in a while.

he was scrambling all he could to address 2009 class when he told Boyd that. At that time in had not even had a chance to take a look at 2010 class. Coach O told me in Febraury, they were 8 months behind everyone else on 2010 class. They were not even organized to begin looking at 2010 until almost signing day 2009..

Yeah - it really did put us way behind - even more so than most teams with a coaching change. We had CLK and CEO both in the NFL so they hadn't seen anyone basically.

LWS, in your opinion from what you've heard, read, been told, etc., what is the percentage that Scroggins will be a Vol?
